Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Gia has already received such offers but has turned them down for the time being. She has frequently posted that she plans to stay in the porn business on a long-term basis, and a switch to directing may be a career move that she anticipates making further down the line. By and large, performing is a much more profitable use of time than directing is.
I think Gia is very busy right now. She does have her own website. As of now it only has the homepage and a page for ordering her films. I believe it will expand to much more content.
She's a great photographer if any of you have seen her pics posted.

I agree. I think she is intelligent and creative enough to direct on her own, and not simply allow someone else to direct and use her name as "director" in the credits to try to sell movies, like so many other girls.
That's a very sexist comment what girls aren't good enough to be directors??? Well sorry but I beat out Jules Jordan at AVN's one year for a scene I directed with Lexington Steele. Why guys are so much better??? If you ask me most of the guys/performers in this business are turning out cookie cutter porn with no vision behind it compared to the female directors. Check out Ravenous for instance it got a five star rating and Nikki Hunter directed it!!!

I agree but don't put down females we try harder because we have to. It's harder to get respect as a female but as what I've seen some of the best stuff has been put out by females.
I'm just saying it the way I watch porn. Female directors shoot porn from a female point of view like more couples-appeal and that's not my thing. Since I'm a guy and a die hard raincoater, I want to watch porn from a male point of view. I mean for example just look how Bionca toned down the Buttslammers serie when she took over from Bruce Seven. The only exception in my opinion was Lizzy Borden.
Most production companies are still afraid to let a Female to direct. In today's market 50% of the adult buyers are females. I remember when " Psychotic " came out all the male directors were asking me if I am crazy giving Nicki a bigger budget to shoot her movie than them. Every male director who came through my company door said " I'll take Anarchy to the next level " what next level? There is no next level in Porn!!! Nicki on the other hand said " That she has some ideas and she want to put them on film " and I said lets try it. After the movie came out I've received e-mails from female saying that " Psychotic " was the first porn that they went out and bought. This is my Next Level. Listen, Female directors looked at through a microscope when they direct a movie. I've read the reviews and if it was not a Female directors, it would be a smoother review. Directors like Jewel, Nicki, Ariana, Leah Luv are the next level in Porn. More male directors jobs will be lost to Female directors. The reason is simple, sets are run more professional, the movies are better, and the most important thing is " the circus act " in porn is non to nothing. You girls rock and you good in what you do
i will say i feel the women need to do more directing... it can only make the industry better i agree with Jewel about the cookie cutter image of the industry at times look belladonna given the chance to make the stuff she wanted it is up there with anythign a male can put out i feel at times just becuse a girl is directing does not mean she is getting to make what she really wants to make... some girls i feel are set up to fail with out total control of a movie even directors like swine get screwed with final product ......
someday it will be nice to see the industry be 50% 50% both men and women directors the fans i feel would win in the end along witht he quality of product being that much better

I watched Belladonna's No Warning the other day. Has Gia even expressed any interest in directing, here or anywhere else? I agree she's a VERY sharp girl but if it's one thing I hate, it's people telling me what I'm suited to do, even when I haven't given any consideration to doing it. Is anyone besides me interested in actually hearing GIA's feelings on the matter?
The other thing to remember, and this is no slight at Gia, is that just because a person is or comes across as intelligent or is a good performer doesn't mean they will be an especially talented director. This applies across the board to to way more than porn.
What I'm saying is that while performing and directing are complimentary skills, being good at one doesn't mean you'll be good at the other. Take painting and sculpting for another example of what I'm talking about. Skills that are complimentary, related, but different. Acting and Dancing. And so on.
Gia may well be a potentially amazing director. She might decide to try her hand at it in the future, or never, or next week. But just because a person has talent in one area doesn't mean they will excel at all things.

I am interested in her opinion, of course. That was the reason for this whole question in the first place. Try not reading too much into this whole thing.
Some very interesting questions posed in this thread regarding female vs. male directors. For me, a great director is one who has an extremely strong visual sense - one who knows when he's got something hot in his lens and goes for it - lingering on it or even zooming in and HOLDING it so we can all watch. There are plenty of mediocre and even awful male directors in porn - guys whose work I refuse to even rent anymore after having been disappointed over and over by their lack of skill.
Now while I think it's true that on average, men are more visually focused than women, I also think that women in porn probably have a stronger visual sense than their non-porn peers. Many female pornstars watch porn themselves and have strong ideas about what they like. While those preferences may or may not overlap with those of the average raincoater, I think the jury is definitely out.
I've seen some of Jewel's and Kylie's work behind the camera, and I think they're definitely on the right track.
Having said all that, I think Gia would be a total natural as a director. She's intelligent, a VERY sexual person, and I know she watches a TON of porn. If she chooses to direct at some point I would definitely check out whatever she comes up with. If she wants to do it, I'm sure she's got plenty of connections in the business to get herself hooked up. but I could be wrong. Maybe Gia herself will make an appearance in this thread and give us her own thoughts?
None of these women shoot my kind of porn but I know the direction they're in.
Maybe I'm old fashion when it comes to porn but I think performers are becoming too fast directors, males and females. Maybe it's because company owners think a famous performer as director will sell better? Anyway, back in the old days a director was really a director, it was like a craft with directors like John Stagliano, Greg Dark, Alex DeRenzy and Bruce Seven for example.
