I know this subject has been debated here, "ad infinitem," but now that it appears more and more adult film companies are starting to "take the rubber ducky off the dickie,"--(its a "rubber ducky" to me, because the rubber, "ducks" what most men WANT to see, unfettered sexual action)--its time to approach the issue, again.
In a nutshell (pun intended) porn is my fantasy world, and thus, I do NOT want the sight of a usually wrinkled condom, bringing me back to the stark spectre of AIDS and other STD's, when I am in my "fantasy zone."
I use the term, fantasy, because while I might vicariously dream of "pleasuring" Jessica Drake, Julia Ann, Lisa Ann, Tory Lane, Shyla Stylz, and ON and On and On, as I watch one of their sexually explicit scenes, I know that it will NEVER happen, and so I retire to my fantasies, where the sight of ANY condom "jerks" me back to harsh reality.
Then too, I will NEVER understand, WHY?? some adult film company producers, directors and even talent, continue to INSIST on the use of "rubber duckys," when porn performers are the most TESTED, and very likely, most sex-disease FREE work force on the planet!!!
Forget MY fantasy world explanation, if you choose, and just focus on the aesthetic distortion, whenever a "rubber ducky" is filmed, penetrating a woman's vagina, or even more "absurd," a lady's lips.
In conclusion, and this is to ALL adult film producers and directors out there, PLEASE! keep the "rubber duckys" where they belong, THE BATHTUB!!!

Well I understand where you are coming from, but it really does not bother me. Just because there is testing, it does not always mean that the sex will be safe and no diseases will arise. Sometimes it takes a while for some diseases to show up, and testing can miss it. I would much rather see my favorite porn star get banged by a rubber wearer and have her have a continued career in porn, than to see her contract something and possibly leaving the industry because of that. I know people have a lot of different opinions on this, but seeing a condom does not really put a damper on my fantasy.

I can't decide between and .
At any rate, it always amuses me when someone suggests that condoms ruin their fantasy. Would you really turn down sex with Jessica Drake if she told you to put on a condom? Talk about not having your priorities straight.

It makes no difference to me whether or not a performer wears a condom--unless it's a colored condom.

What I dislike about condom scenes is the pop that goes anywhere but the face. Who would take off a condom to cum on the girl's stomach?

I respectfully suggest that Hardware has missed the point of my rant against condoms in porn completely.
Whenever I have a sexual encounter with a lady in the REAL world, I always wear a condom, and would wear as many as Jessica Drake wanted for a "crack at her crack."
As stated, however, porn is my fantasy world where I spend considerable time and money, and I have a perfect right to want that world condom free or "bare back," which is the term used in the adult film industry, and the direction more and more companies have been moving in recent months, and HOORAY! for them.
The use of the "rubber ducky" in adult filmed scenes, FOR ME, is both a distortion and a distraction--much in the way too many tattoos, distorts the natural beauty of a woman's skin.

Porn maybe your fantasy world but it is the real world of the performer/s, bringing with it all the real risks associated with real life. What part of that is difficult to understand?
I find it hard to believe that you can so flippantly ask someone to jeopardise their health to meet the needs of your masturbatory fantasy world. That's distortion.
When you say rubber ducky I think of Sesame Street, I wish you wouldn't.

Its odd that Dani complains in this manner, since it is very seldom that I see any porn involving condoms… it seems that the more gonzo companies are acutely aware that most dudes don't like it…

I don't like 'em in porn. Condoms should be used in real life, but when watching porn I prefer non-condom scenes. Condoms destroy alot of the heat between 2 performers.

Condoms don't bother me either. I prefer condomless scenes but will still watch condom scenes.
What I find funny is the fact that they use condoms during the sex, but they don't during the Blowjob, Pussy Licking, Ass Licking and when the girls are swallowing or taking a mouth full of cum. Yeah I still think you're gonna get infected doing those too, but hey...that's just me. What's the point in being "Half Safe"?! There is no such thing as 50% AIDS/HIV or any other STD.

Did I suggest otherwise? No, and I didn't miss your point, either. Frankly, I don't like condoms, but I'm certainly not going to deny myself the pleasure of watching one of my favorite gals just because there's a condom used in the scene. As others have already pointed out, our porn/fantasy world is created by people in the real world, where real risks apply. Given my believe that there are too many loose cannons in the porn industry, I think a performer is fully justified in demanding condoms.

I don't like 'em because I don't like beating off while staring at a condom clad cock going in and out of a pussy or asshole. It isn't sexy. How it would feel in real life and what it looks like on the screen are two entirely different things. She might as well fuck herself with a dildo. It's synthetic, it's probably bigger, won't get tired, won't lose wood and looks just as obnoxious and unsexy.
I have to balance the above thought against the fact that I know in reality unprotected sex is dangerous even with testing. It would be much safer for the people doing it but there's no way I could get off to watching condom sex. Porn would be a soft dick experience for me if it went all condom.

Mariac,
You might make a more convincing argument if you used the spell check and some punctuation. And really, who here likes, I mean likes not tolerates wearing a condom in real life? I don't, so why would I want to see them in porn other then when a girl is dumping a full one on another girl's face. If someone gets HIV from porn, it really is too bad, but you know something, to quote the late sixties cartoon Superchicken, "They knew the job was dangerous when they took it!"

Condoms Utterly, and completely take the fantasy out of XXX.
The mandatory VD testing for all American Adult Performers has been incredibly successful
Darren James was infected in Brazil where the standards for HIV/Aids Screening ain't up to par with the States standards
Luckily the vigorous testing back in the states caught the outbreak before epidemic numbers of performers were infected
yes, sadly a small number of ladies were infected by james (and yes, 1 infection is really too much.)

Based on what I have read on this forum, adult performers are tested for HIV once a month, which does not make the testing fool proof.
Venereal diseases or STD's are nearly impossible to test for.
So your argument is baseless.

And yours is based upon handwringing paranoia. Testing has most certainly been more successful than doing nothing at all. Sure. Some of the lesser STDs are probably rampant but stuff like HIV seems to be pretty well controlled by testing.
Of course, unprotected sex can never be completely safe (Probably not in our lifetimes, anyway). That's just common sense. And no. Testing isn't foolproof. Another lightbulb over the head moment. I think these facts are pretty obvious.

Always the same discussions over and over again.
Almost forty years ago there was big hue and cry about seat belts for cars becoming mandatory.
"Seat belts ruin the feeling of free driving."
Today nobody can even imagine to put his or anybodies life on the line by not using a seat belt.
MAKE CONDOMS MANDATORY!
The viewer's imagination will adjust quickly.

Paronoia: psychosis characterized by systematized delusions of persecution or grandeur usually without hallucinations
Well I don't quite understand how paranoia in this case applies to me.
Regarding the original poster's comment that the AIM tests somehow offered protection against STD's, they do not. In fact, as someone as intelligent as you are, I am sure that you will agree that the 30 day period between tests is more than enough time for an infected person, engaged in the amount of unprotected sex that your average pornstar is, to infect scores of people you can easily infect scores of others before anyone can even notice.
And as you say, unprotectived sex is not safe, your argument would seem to support my original post.

despite the fact that porn performers are the most TESTED, they are most sex-diseased work force on the planet!!!
There reasons for this range from inadequate testing to using poor testing to plain old irresponsibility.

Even if they test every 30 days guys and girls go to clubs or they meet some one and they take them back home and they have sex with them do they use condoms do they ask for a AIM test no I think that if porn stars are going to be safe in this is work envierment that they MUST SING a agreement to only have sex with in the adult industry and if they have a girl friend boy friend or husband or wife they must get tested. If they brake that contract the lose there contract with the company they are with (Wicked Club Jenna ) or they will never get to be hired by any one no mater how good they are on screen kind of like if you flake a shot that person never get hired again right? We need to start to show that we care about these people that we watch there not just porn stars there real people that have a life too and we need to show them we care no only by jacking off by putting a limit to who they have sex with

Chodemaster inquires, why start a redundant thread"? (as if that's never happened here before) and quotes only a PORTION of my original statement.
As anyone can read after the "BUT," is the comment that an increasing number of adult film companies were going without condoms.
THIS, then was the reason for the thread with the HOPE that the trend would continue, especially among feature film productions, where my primary porn interest rests.
As far as Mike South using the term "uninformed," re my statement that adult film performers are the most tested and probably, STD free work force in the world, I realize that is a "reach-- sort a like South calling himself a "porn star," or putting poker players on Fox sports channels, and calling them "athletes."
But, I would be willing to wager that when the numbers are "crunched," porn workers, by their very nature of constant testing, are as STD free, percentage wise, as any other specific work group in America.
And, Yes, I know AIM testing, is NOT fool proof, (neither are condoms) but, while other professions "might" conduct testing as a one-time criteria for hiring, NO profession is tested as often as porn, with the possible exception of legalized prostitution in Nevada.

I would think the most STD free work force would be IT geeks.
Porners are tested for HIV/AIDS as far as I know, not the myriad other STDs that a person can get. You know that some (many) do not or do not always have any visible symptoms?
Why would you think people who have unprotected sex with strangers would be the group LEAST likely to have STDs? I am curious about the logic.
I can think of lots of work groups that probably have fewer STD's.
Ambulance drivers.
Locksmiths.
Dog catchers.
Politicians.
Why wouldn't you immediately think of a group who isn't in the sex trade, they make the most sense for least diseases.
Symphony Orchestra Conductors.
High school guidance counselors.
This is too easy.

I never buy condom porn. Ever. I'd rather jerk off to lesbian or fetish porn than M/F porn with a condom. I'd venture to guess that most porn consumers feel the same way.
I highly doubt that most male porn consumers actually give a hoot about whether or not the performers are healthy. Honestly do the folks who buy A2M videos, the cumfart eating videos, the bukkake videos, the enema drinking videos, the 'squirting' videos, the dirty anal videos, and on and on actually care about the health of the perfomers that they see on screen? My guess is they do not care once the popshot is over. It's about fantasy -- the performers take the risk for the money so we pervs don't have to.
So, I have as much sympathy for porners as I do diamond miners, Alaska crab fisherman, and day-traders. The jobs are high risk vs. high reward and the participants should have known that going in. And I tell you one thing -- Americans pay high dollar for that sweet-fresh Alaska king crab. It may be cruel, and I might cry a tear if I heard that a one fisherman died to bring 1000 crab to my table, but that won't stop me from eating them.

The typical AIM industry standard panel tests for Chlamydia, Gonorreah and HIV/AIDS by DNA PCR. It does not test for Syphillis, herpes or HPV.
Those that argues that the HIV/AIDS risk is probably smallest in the adult industry and the controlled sex industry in general, like Nevada prostution, are correct. But Chlamydia and herpes in particular are very common, as is gonorreah.
Now does knowing that there's a 1 in 5 chance that your favorite porn starlet or stud is being/has been treated for one of these diseases help your fantasy? ;)

1 in 5 americans in general have genital HPV/Herpes -- not only porn actors. 50-80% or more of the US population has some form of herpes -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes#HSV_disease -- and most doctors don't test for it (genital herpes as well).
Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are treatable with antibiotics.
Besides, pervs are pervs -- I venture to guess that there are some out there that actually GET OFF on knowing that their favorite porn-star has an STD.

Just like the topic starter I am also a fan of no-condom porn movies. I will never watch a porn movie in which the performers use condoms even if the girls are very hot and the action is great.
In started watching gonzo movies when the performers started using condoms in feature movies. You never knew if condoms were used in a movie. When I watch a gonzo movie I know that they won't be used because gonzo companies have a no-condom policy.
Condoms are a turn-off for various reasons:
1: Porn is fantasy and in my fantasy condoms don't exist;
2: They are visually distracting;
3: When the performers don't use condoms the sex is more intimate and hotter. Skin to skin contact between the performers makes the sex more intimate;
4: As a gonzo fan I prefer watching "nastier" porn movies. So I like it when the pornstars are doing nasty things. Fucking without condoms makes a scene more nasty.
The fact that most porn movies are shot without condoms is a clear signal that porn lovers don't want condoms in their movies. Performers who want to use condoms should try to perform in feature movies and not in gonzo movies. And if someone is going to play in porn movies nowadays he/she knows that in most adult movies no condoms are used. If a perfomer doesn't want to have sex without condoms but wants to perform in adult movies maybe he has made the wrong choice.

Thanx, Blue Yonder, for backing me up a bit, and realizing that VISUALLY, there is nothing erotic about the "rubber ducky on the dicky" (as I call it) in porn.
Re AIMS testing, I REALLY thought that the porn testing program covered much more than it does, so I will take several poster's words as truth, and "back down" from my original statement that adult film performers are the "most tested and STD-free work force on the planet."
My obvious question, then, is WHY aren't these tests for porn's performers more stringent, since the mechanism for administering them is readily available??---albeit, a bit more expensive.
The point about condoms being far less seen in gonzo productions than feature films, once again prompts a question---WHY is this???
Here, I will offer my thoughts:::: Its no secret that the self-appointed "health czar of porn," paul fishbein, and avn, have made many efforts to discourage both "barebacks" and for some bizarre reason, women smoking cigarettes, in adult film scenes.
One merely has to check out various, negative avn editorials and film reviews, re both barebacks and female smoking scenes, to verify this fact.
Now, the feature film companies, far more than gonzo, are extremely sensitive to bad reviews.
Feature films, are much more expensive to produce, and have a smaller appeal market--which is something, I've NEVER understood, for to me, there is nothing more erotic than seeing cutting-edge, plot-driven sexually explicit films, featuring hot cigarette SMOKING female characters, to farther accentuate "bad girl" character imagery, a film technique main-stream Hollywood has used for decades.
That, then, is the REALITY of the gonzo/feature film condom discrepancy---feature film producers and directors can't afford to rile fishbein, the industry's "pot-bellied potentate, and so, both "barebacks AND sexy women smoking cigarettes, are RARELY seen in today's adult feature films.
Finally, and this is something I will NEVER understand, how a man, possessing such bizarre health/sanitation habits, that even Howard Hughes (if alive) would "cringe"-- I, myself, once observed fishbein wash and dry his hands, EIGHT times! at a wash basin in the Sands-- could EVER become the adult film industry's health watchdog???
btw, in my correspondence, I have always used lower case lettering for someone or something, I do not respect---paul fishbein, avn, george w bush, etc.

If AIM tested for Herpes for instance...90% of the current performers would be using condoms or working at McDonalds.
personally I think thinning the herd by90% is a fabulous idea but Im sure some fanboi here has a fav that would get thinned out then he'd be crying bloody murder.
mind you they only test every 30 days for chlamydia and such hell you can get it be cured and get it again in that amount of time...and they do which is why outbreaks of chlamydia and gonnorreha are such common happenings in porn valley.
Theres no way I'd do a non condom scene with anyone that works in that talent pool...but then I dont shoot em anyhow.

I dont have a problem watching porn movies with condome scenes, if it is vaginal and anal sex.
But I have even seen some porn movies,
where oral sex is performed with a condome,
and that really is just as erotic, as if I would
lick on an old tire. Yes, there is still a small
rest risk, even if the men are tested every month,
etc. But having oral sex with a condome, is like
having no oral sex at all. I like it, when they
explode on my tongue and I enjoy the cum.
( All my partners take the "tasty cum" drops in advance, so that it tastes extraordinarily delicious. )
