Pity no one ever asks the same about women who date and marry men only for their money. Gold diggers are just as much prostituting their bodies as porn stars do. The gold digger's motto is, "No finance, no romance." So I think the only difference is that a porn star is honest, whilst a gold digger is totally amoral.

My argument is, rather than ban porn, why not make gold digging and marriages of convenience illegal?

Or, instead of making more ridiculous laws, let's rescind some of the ones we have that are fueled by our archaic code of morals. The question should never have been "why is porn legal?" but should be "why isn't prostitution?".

I've mentioned this in other threads, but for those who haven't heard, there are at least three states in Australia where prostitution is legal but porn videos are illegal.

The escort girls have web sites, fan clubs and big ads in the yellow pages, but we can only get porn by mail order from out of state.

Don't ask me to explain this

Very possibly it could be just as legal, however most other states have not had the legal precedent that California has and it would have to be tested in the local state courts.

For sure, some states would reject it and turn it down, but I'm sure several would also pass. But the court proceedings are a very expensive and time consuming affair.

Bill, I have warned porn lovers here that there are large segments that find porn, very strange at best, utterly revolting at worst. I am frankly, not suprised by these types of comments. However, if we are censoring these types of opinions on this board, I think we are doing ourselves a disservice. I frankly want people who find porn utterly revolting or extremely strange to speak up. It will unfortunately prove the utter hostility or condescendion "porn-nuns" have toward porn directors and porn viewers.

Now let's get back to the topic. It may be hard for our opponents to understand but I see a vast difference in cumming on persons face and pissing on a persons faces. The semen that they see as waste others see as beautiful cream on to extentuate and emphasize the subjects radiance. Although I rarely love to see facials and I find 90% of them visually revolting, people who love to see facials do not sit there and think in their head, "This is a way I can show this women or man, my utter hostility toward her."

To be blunt I think a lot of porn actors or porn actresses do porn just for because the sex is hot. They see it as a vehicle they can release their sexual prowess. Frankly, it is called being smart. When the time is right, I may exploit this vehicle too.

And believe or not people, male performers who do male gay films are more likely to fake than female performers who do lesbian scenes? And men who are paired up with so called unattractive women are also faking their performances. So just don't think women fake performances just to get a buck. As a matter of fact, if most women choose their sex partners, guess who is probably going to find some of their female parnters "unattractive". That's right MEN.

Interesting, I wonder why he was not charged for paying male performers? I think I know why. Although men are depicted as studs and power fuckers, they are still not seen as sex objects! I mean how does America rationlize this obvious misnomer? I mean it may be hard for a lot of people to believe, but a lot of women actually enjoy getting fucked while they get paid. Randy Spears, Tony T's and Erick Everheards of the porn industry are just as much whoes, sluts as the female performers are. They get paid to fuck. Period.

Yet, purists insist to hold on to the notion that men are not percieved as sex objects by women. They contend that most women find a good male fuck master inherently offensive to the "feminine?" idea of slow, non-carnally intense love making. Men falsely believe that many women lust or could lust for a well hung guy who gets it done in bed.

Comparing porn and prostitution

Porn is tasteless and offending (to some) but it is basically harmless.

On the other hand prostitution is seen as threatening to wives and girlfriends (whether or not it is, that is how it is percieved). Prostitution is illegal because women want it that way, they don't want a candy store on every corner.

Although put up earlier and rubbished the best argument IMO is ... for the same reason that action movies are legal and murder is not.

It is one thing to be excited by the depiction of an act but quite another to participate in it yourself.

I don't agree. That is like saying sex, rather than prostitution, should be illegal.

I don't necessarily agree with the proposition myself, but IMO it is why society makes the distinction.

Porn is between consenting adults - it should remain legal forever. A gold digging woman is a completely different case and should be arrested - that kind of woman is real trouble!
