Why isn't Lupe Fuentes a bigger star?

She has the looks and skills and her popularity seemed to be on the rise. From what I understand her site was a huge hit. Her signing with WICKED didn't seem to do much for her. I'm not really into the barely leagal stuff so I was glad to hear she was going to do some stuff for WICKED but as I predicted Lupe was hot but for me her scenes weren't. Last week I got her first DVD from her new company and again I was disapointed. I've seen some of the stuff she's done for other companies in the past and it's all much hotter. If that stuff was on DVD I think she'd be a bigger hit. The stuff that WICKED and her company has released on DVD looks pretty but is very "vanilla". Is it fair of me to think that since she hooked up with Evan Seinfeld her career took a turn for the worse? Any thoughts/comments on why Lupe Fuentes isn't a bigger mainstream pornstar than she currently is? Or is she a bigger deal than I'm aware of? Would doing "harder" stuff like she did in the past make a difference? [Link]

I know her ex-husband is currently awaiting trial for child pornography and other charges. He did accuse her of being a willing participant and the one that recruited the under age performer for his films but I don't know if he can prove it. I always thought she was really cute but her looking really young may have been a problem. It isn't based on anything Lapiedra (I read that there has yet to be a divorce action, so they're technically still married, unsure if that's true) has said; instead, it's based on evidence and testimony gathered in Colombia. Interpol warrants are a method of moving people from one jurisdiction to another; before she would need to stand trial in Colombia, there would first be a hearing in the US to determine if we (I'm American) would send her. A similar hearing held in Spain determined that Lapiedra would be extradited, so he will stand trial in Colombia for the charges. There are several levels of warrants (denoted by color), I'm not sure which was issued for Lupe. It's possible that Colombia merely wants to compel her testimony, or they may want to charge her with the crimes. She is not under arrest in the US, though I'd be surprised if she could leave the country. As to why she isn't famous? Well, she used to be. Her fleshlight was the highest-selling model, she was being constantly talked about on Stern, etc. etc. But once the Interpol news came out, that was it. Until it's squared away, she's a toxic asset. No porn company can afford to work with someone publicly identified as involved with kiddie porn, period. Lupe signed with WICKED a few years ago and WICKED does "softer" stuff. Evan was with Tera Patrick before and Tera was a VIVID girl so Evan probably thought (and perhaps rightly so) that Lupe would have the greatest exposure and better channe of mainstream crossover at a studio like WICKED doing softer stuff. Much better than the stuff she does for her site and certainly her WICKED stuff. I'm surprised that those studios didn't put out a "Best Of" compilation and make it available to a US audience. The last thing any porn studio wants is to have the words underage girls and their brand associated together in the media. I haven't heard any recent news on where the trial is but sooner or later she'll have to testify if for no other reason that to defend herself of these accusations. Of course if she's guilty then she'll do anything she can not to appear because I can't imagine that she will see the light of day for a very long time after she is found guilty. Posesion: 2007 (Stars & Stamps) Not to be confused with "Obsesion", Lupe steals the show in this crazy spanish flight of fancy! "Pornostamps" and "Especial Lucia La Piedra" DVDs (both made in 2007 as well) are also less-known, so I'll include them here for die-hard fans. Click to expand The short answer is... Only with alot of legwork... Since Lupe's Spanish Releases appear to have been sold to new distributors. (Lapiedra Factory were the original production company for sure.. Whether they distributed internationally..? Not sure). IAFD (Internet Adult Film Database) doesn't even list "Obsesion" - Only a specialized search using a Spanish subfilter unearthed that gem. I could only find original DVD covers on: theater.aebn.net (via IAFD) indicating just how fast moving the porn business is. It's a "streaming site", so it looks like Lupe's best work is already becoming a scarce commodity. Talking of scarce... Here are releases featuring material of Lupe I haven't seen before. (One bares an uncanny resemblance to "Woman Pink Hair"). Lolita Pink Blood - Pinko Studio Simulated "rape" footage (not my cup of tea)- but worth a gander to see Lupe in gangbang action.
