I agree with your basic sentiments - interest in Milfs does seem to have declined somewhat. Although the wonderful Veronica Avluv has appeared in several LegalPorno productions over the past year or so, so she is still very much active.

You are totally right. I am a great fan of the gorgeous Veronica. She belongs to my top three favorite pornstars. Last year there were a lot of fans of her on these forum. Nowadays I am one of the last. And to be honest Vee is one the prettiest present milfs and maybe of all pornstars. Like Kendra Lust.
personally my interest in mature women hasn't dimished at all. I have a theory though about the situation, altough I'm not really sure it makes sense. While I think there are a lot of persons interested in mature women, a lot of porn producers don't really understand the genre. Because with people who are into young women there's always request for new faces, the new 18 year old, and that's part of the appeal of teen porn. You can't be young forever so one tend to see every year a lot of new faces. But with milfs is different, because a hot mature woman doesn't stop to be appealing for someone who's into her in like a year or two, she could be appealing to her viewers for literally decades. And producers seem don't get this. They think that young is better, new faces are better, so they translate this idea to milf porn and their idea to make better content is like calling milfs women who are younger and younger and whoever is older than fifty is basically outside mainstream porn for this reason. There are some performers over fifty that keep doing scenes for their sites, or for niche sites and maybe they are called by the big companies for a scene or two in a year but today companies don't like to bring women in their fifties, go figure even older women. Maybe also because those who are not into older women have a strong dislike for the genre and they are vocal about it I don't know. But that's for me why performers who are still extremely popular suddenly seem disappear. Like Lisa Ann or Julia Ann.
Porn producers don't think there's an interest in women over fifty and think that milf fans just want new and younger faces.

Interesting view. Thank you. I think that the disgusting "incest" and "step mom" scenes are also a danger for milf porn. They give a bad image about mature women in the adult industry. These type of scenes are denounced by actresses like Lisa Ann or Veronica Avluv.
I don't know, I'm not sure I agree about this, or maybe I don't know what kind of danger you mean. My issue with the step-mom stuff is that they use that to pick women in their late 20s early 30s to make scenes with a "stepson" that it's like only 10 years younger than them... or sometimes even older! And since I like scenes with older women and younger men with a real age difference that ruins it completely for me at least from that point of view.

This "step mom" scenes give a bad image to mature women in porn. Certain milf actresses are very pertubed by this kind of scene, even more if they have themselves childrens or be real stepmothers.
Perhaps a lack of supply is the real issue here. When I was a teenager I loved milf porn, now that I'm in my thirties I still love milf porn. Older women like Krissy Lynn and Silvia Saige and Jennifer White do it for me more than most of the newer, younger girls. I think Becky Bandini is probably one of the most attractive women to ever shoot porn, I'd have to take a minute or two to find a girl who is 18 to 25 years old who is better looking than her.
The interest is there, there are just not enough milfs shooting IMO. The ones who are shooting are having no trouble getting work from the looks of it.
Regarding the whole family and step mom and daughter or whatever the scenario is. This is over used and it's super fucking annoying. The milf and teen team up is hot by virtue of a woman whose say in her late thirties up to fifties fucking a guy or guys with a girl half her age, that's hot already and the need to make it some kind of mother figure or whatever actually makes the scene less hot for me. So they really need to slow down on this.

I think part of the problem is some pornstars in MILF videos do not look the part. They are not MILFs from the visual perspective. The best examples are Vanessa Cage, Brooklyn Chase, and Lauren Phillips. They are very beautiful women, but they do not look like older women. Vanessa Cage looks like a teen pornstar with a nice ass and pair of tits. The fantasy of MILF porn requires a woman, who looks mature.
What I notice is women who are older more often not being interested in mainstream porn studios and distribution. I work with women in the milf or mature category (prefer it in many ways, personally), and that's often the attitude I find. Seek out small sites or places like C4S, and you'll find plenty. In terms of making a living, women who are older also often have a wider range of options and seek out more flexibility than is typically afforded in the mainstream of porn.
Earlier there used to be wide range of MILFS but now industry has become very strict about milf category they must have boobs, height, etc I see only 3 or 4 MILFS are getting repeated in mainstream sites again and again but others not getting more chances. Also so many great performers leaving industry because lack of work. Future seems very fragile to me.

And my reaction is usually "yeah, wathever" instead of "oh my god this is so edgy". For someone like me who is really into mature women the whole step-mom genre looks much more silly than offensive or disturbing. And more often than not simply just ridiculous, who has decided that to cast like a 35 year old woman with a 25 year old guy is something that could be seen as a convincing scenario?

I think the supply is low because most woman are getting into porn now really young, like 18 - 20. Then they get out of the industry a lot younger too.
Additionally because they no longer make as much money in studio porn as they used to, there's no incentive stay.
I think the popularity of mature(MILF in porn terms) performers is as big now as it was 2 years ago or 10 years ago. The number of actual older/more mature performer varies from time to time but there always seems to be a fairly decent amount. They may just not be as well known as some past favorites but it takes time to acquire a fan following. Now we have lost quite a few of the more popular performers in recent years to retirement but that happens when performers don't want to do porn anymore.

I think advanced age has little to do with it. I would even say that you could sell more units with a Julia Ann or Lisa Ann than with one of those "here today, gone tomorrow" teenagers. Simply because they still have a huge fan base. But porn is no longer financially worthwhile for many. The gap after Lisa Ann, Julia Ann, Francesca Le or Ava Addams will not be closed because many choose the direct route to self-marketing.

Of course I noticed that and I think that's a great pity. But I think you have to look at each case individually. Lisa Ann was apparently not happy with the direction the business was taking. Kendra Lust apparently makes good money with other things outside the porn business. The one or other actress is now her own boss and uses platforms like onlyfans. I simply believe that the big money can no longer be earned on the set. You make a name for yourself or already have one and earn your money with it.
