After reading all of the previous replies to this thread i, too, have to say that i'm extremely curious about Ass Wide Open; finally we saw the box cover! I also liked the personal replies from Jean Yves LeCastel as well. But -and i hope that some of you agree- let's not forget that it's not only Jean Yves who's known for his beautiful ass gaping productions, 'cause everybody seems to forget the other great French actor/director: Christoph Clark!! The work he has done for the Evil Angel company cannot be dismissed, in my opinion! Can we all give him some credit too, since i think he deserves some respect on this topic also!
I love Christoph's excellent camera work .He knows how to show the beauty of the girls and push them to the anal gaping limit. The best is to see JYLC now often in his movies .
I personally wish Lecastel would join Evil Angel but they already have Clark who almost does the same kind of movies and that's why I wish Lecastel would shoot the same kind of movies only with American pornstars. I would love to see Lecastel beam American girls.
Both directors are excellent. They both showcase their work directing for Anabolic/Diabolic which use to be my main source for hard anal and gapes. I hope they remain competitive in the business cause the anal loving porn fans will benefit from the two competing for our hard earn porn dollars. I personally love the way Christoph film his movies. They are of a more nasty erotic nature and Evil Angel DVD picture quality captures it very well.
I think Lecastel's anal work is a little harder, more big gapes while Clark shoots more beautiful girls. They're both awesome directors who know how to shoot anal movies the right way.
Guys! What does it matter who JYLC shoots for as long as he continues to bring his brand of hard core to fans and the quality is maintained? Our DVD transfers are excellent. We do not inhibit his shooting at all. He edited Ass Wide Open. Volume 2 has recently been completed. JYLC's Harder Faster 3 is coming soon as well. Give us some credit for bringing together new director Jonni Darkko (Anal Trainer, ATM Machine), JYLC (Ass Wide Open, Harder Faster), Tyrone Shuz (Erotica XXX, 2 Dicks in 1 Chick), etc. Why is it that you would like to see them at different companies?
Not yet. I'm a little behind with this serie.It does matter for us Lecastel fans because we want to see his movies on DVD right away not wait for the VHS first.I personally wonder if Lecastel is getting enough attention at DS like he deserves. I mean I don't see a lot of promotion for his movies here from you guys compared to for example Jonni Darkko and the same goes for not releasing all his movies on DVD right away.
I would think that a new director needs to be thrust in the public eye more than a well known director such as LeCastel. I am all for promotion of ALL company projects and directors. What would you recommend that you see other companies do that we don't? I am willing to learn. As far as the DVDs are concerned, for 2 months now we have released DVD simulataneos with the VHS and will continue to so on all future products.
Jean Yves Le Castel have promoted his new series "Ass wide open" here before 2 month ago and told that have edited it already .So why take it so much time to release the movie ? Is there a special reason ? In this time where 3 Johnny Darko titles released !
I also understand that Lecastel stays mostly behind the camera in his movies for DS and for me this is not a good thing. This might sound weird but I actually buy Lecastel movies to see the man himself in action with the girls because he really knows how to create the biggest gapes and that's why I hope he will be more infront of the camera from now on. For me it makes a very big difference if Lecastel is infront or behind the camera, Lecastel infront of the camera makes the scene 1 hex times better.
I also wonder something else, I wonder if it's possible for Lecastel to make the same kind of movies only with American girls. I would love Lecastel perform with American girls and letting them gape to the limit. DS Director is this possible or is Lecastel euro-only?
He's doing some great great work! ATM Machine is one of the best porno movies I've ever scene. Hot, HOT anal action, perfectly captured. Every scene (unusual for most releases) I could honestly rate 5 stars.

Sorry guys I was away at the AVN Expo. We have discussed that LeCastel would come to the US to work. It WILL happen - just not yet. Darkko plain makes more movies for the company than LeCastel. You will always see more movies released from Darkko because of this. We made some changes in the authoring of the DVD so it slowed down the release....and GOD FORBID we release the VHS before the DVD - sorry just a little vent - LOL. More good news is that he just finished work on LeCastel's Perversions. This is another new series from the man himself featuring him in front of the camera.
DS Director , can you call Jean Yves le Castel please , to describe some news of his series on the forum and what is going on with his website ? When is now the release date of Ass Wide Open ?
Ass Wide Open - Street date is Feb 5 for DVD and VHS. Harder Faster 3 is Jan. 29th. Rejoice LeCastel fans! I will contact him and see if he can drop into the forum to share info.
That's great news because I buy Lecastel movies to see Lecastel, not other guys who can hardly do the job right as Lecastel can not counting Steve Holmes because he always does a great job.

Speaking of JYL, who is one of my favorite directors, I recently watched Private's Extreme Hole In One which was one of the last movies directed by Lecastel for Private. There is something very uncharacterstic of Lecastel here, there are only 2 girls who do anal out of 6 or 7. The first 2 scenes which feature Lecastel himself are non-anal, matter of fact, he doesn't anal any of the girls in this film. There is something wrong with this picture.
Yeah, it's the new image of Private. I bet they asked Lecastel to tone it down, I guess that's why he went from Matador (hard anal action) to the Private Xtreme (soft anal action) label. I think Private just wants to be another couples-appeal company now.
