i think that there should be informative reviews of every dvd with description of every scene in details (all fetishes - a2m positions, spitting, slapping, choking, foot action ect.). of course there's no need to rate the movie or the action in these reviews.

if studios will publish full long reviews of every scene they're shooting , buyers can find exactly the things in the movie they like to see or to avoid. after all , you can't expect every reviewer here on adt to do that so why not the studios do it (both them and buyers have this interest).

i hope that adt will take this suggestion to all studios and create a new place for studio's reviews here.

Elegant Angel used to use excerpts of my reviews for press releases when Mitzi was there. But not full reviews.

u can still write them and i would still read them , there's a place for all reviews. den's would still be good to those who like short informative reviews.

i donn't get your point , should there be only one review in the whole world for every title? why there're 10+ reviews for "fashionistas"? why do u write reviews for titles that were already have reviews?

Its a great idea, thats what i have against this system, i mean a new title is release, the reviewer cannot review everything to day it come out right? there human after all lol, so if studio would at least say whats include in there scene, then buyer would have a general idea. Probleme is that they would make less money, i mean i had in the past buyed/rented movie in hope for something particuliar, for exemple a facial then the movie dosen`t have it. Sure i don`t do it now, i know more about this industry and wait for the review but still there newbies just like i was who buy a title only because it look great.

For exemple that sophia syndrome movie that we where talking about that is supose to be release soon, im interest on it cause the girl look really great, but if she don`t take the jizz in the face and mouth, sorry but no way i will buy. as for me the facial is the money shot, its what im looking for trought the scene. The pleasure is built all scene long then at the end its the peak of it.

Another exemple, damn lesbo scene in straight movie, whats more frustrating to buy or even rate a movie for a particular girl then she is only in lesbo...AH !!! for somebody like me who is not interest in lesbo its really frustrating.

So yeah studio should say whats in there movie, but in a way when not doing it they still can get people that don`t know much about porn buying it

I'm guessing that the majority of buyers don't look up a lot of reviews. The members here do tend to be more knowledgable and get more in depth about their porn.
Do they want viewers to know exactly what is in each movie or do they want to go with hype and anticipation? You want buyers to get worked up hoping that exactly what they want is in there and what they don't like isn't. If viewers know that something they want to avoid is contained in the scene they were looking forward to, they wouldn't buy/rent, would they? Only the buyer has this interest, the studios and directors who own their own lines don't.
Notice that when a porn star does her first (whatever) then it is mentioned prominently on the insert.

A studio including a review isn't going to help the consumer any. If they do an in-house review, it's going to speak favorably of the movie. If they include outside reviews, they'll only include other favorable reviews. Why are there 10 reviews of a movie that's already been reviewed? The same reason there are millions of reviews for mainstream movies -- everyone has, to a degree, a differing opinion thus making one DEFINITIVE review to go along with their product an impossibility. Including every act or fetish like you suggest is even more unlikely.

If you insist on relying on reviews, the best thing you can do is find a reviewer or reviewers whose opinion you tend to agree with and trust. But I'd still weigh those against other reviews, too. And while these materials aren't readily available to just regular consumers, most companies do include a scene-by-scene cast list with the press release for their movies.

Best of luck, loop.

Half the studios can't get the running time right, now you want them to get every act right?

A descriptive summary of the content isn't a review. Perhaps if there were very detailed descriptive summaries you wouldn't buy half of what you do on the off chance that you may see what you want to watch - so you keep buying...

Edited to add cos I'm in a mood -- the descriptive summaries would all be pretty much alike, just do one and copy it off.

I was thinking you're lucky if they get the cast right.

Adding onto Steph and Flash, there's how many people who scream when a part of the cover has a three-quarter inch square picture showing something that happened when the movie was shot but was cut later in editing. Now they're supposed to pay somebody to watch the entire movie after it's done and do a write-up on it? A well done press release seems rare enough, let alone an accurate review and rundown of the movie. I think studios would be much better off trying to get copies of their movies out to reviewers a couple weeks before they're released so that reviewers have a chance to check them out and get stuff written up before they're released.

I agree with you - but

If they don't, maybe they don't have confidence in the quality of the new release?
Mediocre to poor reviews would kill sales before the movie even got out of the gate.

Possible? Likely?

Personally I wouldn't want to read subjective reviews, but I would like to see a breakdown of scenes like who are the scenes with, both males and females. It's very frustrating when buying a movie and not knowing this.

Amen, sister!

(Which is one of those things that I don't understand -- they have to keep accurate 2257 records otherwise they face jail time... why doesn't that info trickle down to the boxcover guys and editors?)

Supposedly, no. I've been told that bad reviews have very little effect on sales.
