Recently I saw Russian Institute 8 and 3. They were both done by the same director Hereve but had one major difference. Volume 8 has taken a major step backwards in the development of porn. With so many studios planning to go to HD why does Herve have to put essentially vhs quality on a dvd?
Is it for art? Last time I checked, when I go to a museum there were no signs that said please wear beer goggles to enjoy the true value of the pieces.
Herve has taken a great film with hot women and softened, blurred and white washed it to a piece of shit. It should be a crime to destroy the film through so-called editing effects.
Sure women at a bar might need some artistic editing to see their beauty, but not in this case where the women are naturally easy on the eyes.
I guess I'm frustrated because I like the underlying film without the effects, as found in the earlier version. Perhaps he could make two versions for the market. One in the original version without effects applied and then one with the effects applied.

Many titles released by Marc Dorcel have that problem. Sure they use the hottest ladies of Europe and they spend plenty of Euros on the sets and wardrobes. But they do film with the softer lighting and longer range camera positioning. They usually have a story like the film classics of the 1980's and the films almost appear like they were made in a copycat formulation. That probably appeals more to the female fans of porn. Since they're outnumbered by male porn fans 99-1, it makes me wonder why they waste their resources filming porn that way.
Oh well, I don't have to rent it or buy it either.
