This is a general question for people in the industry or with better knowledge than I!..Im not sure if this has been talked about before or not( if it has I apologize!). I did a search but didn't quite find an answer..I've noticed thst quite a bit of films web or dvd will have the girl suck dick WITHOUT a condom, have sex WITH a condom, then have the cumshot in/on her mouth(she may or may not swallow) or cum on her pussy or ass and she'll rub all over her areas!..It just seems to me that the use of condom would be pointless if you are going to cum in or on her orfices anyway?! ...I've even seen movies where the guy starts off the film w/a condom then halfway through the film he doesnt have a condom on; or he'll start w/o a condom then have one on later in the film! Im just curious as to the reasoning behind this, since I am embarking on my own Adult Ent. venture..Ive shot 3 girls so far 2 no condom and 1 with a condom and the one with a condom I ended the scene in a different way, its sexy but I didnt cum in/on any of those places that are supposed to be protectd for "safe sex" at request of the actress even though we were both tested..This isn't a complaint, Im just curious for my own knowledge as I try to learn as much as I can in this industry!..thanks for taking the time

Most of the time the only reason condoms are used in porn is because the production company is trying to send a condom friendly message to their viewing public. Nobody, the performers or the company, has a real interest in the reason condoms are typically used in real life. The condom, in those cases, is just another prop.
In a few other cases, remarkably few, a performer insists on using condoms for real condom-y reasons. When I see unsafe condom action in those cases, I don't have any explanation for it, other than the performer is just trying to "lower" the risk, and maybe exert a little pressure to make conditions safer, without losing their job. Current porn standards just aren't built around safe/safer sex practices.

Also, medically there's a higher risk of contracting things through actual intercourse than through oral sex. Not to say you couldn't catch something giving oral, but the chances are lower. And even if a persons cum is infected with something, it still has to have a pathway to enter the body. Just having cum contact the skin normally won't be enough to cause infection (with most pathogens). But yeah, I wouldn't even bother shooting with condoms. In my experience, it's not nearly as risky as many people will have you believe.

Condom's make the risk of HIV transmission slightly safer. As well as the pregnancy issue, etc.. The chances of catching anything untreatable orally is astronomically small compared to vaginal and especially anal. I get escorts all the time who want to shoot asking if they can do oral in films with condoms, in which case the conversation is usually over.
What amazes me is using condoms and then getting facials where the eye's get all messed up with cum. That's a direct route to the bloodstream.

Thank you all for your insight! All of your feedback makes sense to me and I can't believe I didn't even consider the pregnancy issue(duh!)... I guess I assumed most of the girls in the indusrty were on BC and the 3 girls I filmed with claimed to be on BC but if not that would be a very good reason to use a condom during intercourse even if you do other parts of the film without one. Thanks my question has been answered!
