I've been in or around the business since 1990, and I've found the upset factor to be the same. In general, however, the cases of black women refusing IR are extremely rare, so it gets talked about less. On an abstract First Amendment level, yes, talent has a right to lie about their preferences. But workplace discrimination is not abstract. It's the women who dictate casting choices. If a woman is racist, then an entire group of men don't get work due to her say-so. If the powers that be in the industry really were as upset about this situation as I was, this practice would have stopped, like, yesterday. For example, 90's porn performer Jordan Lee refused to work with both black AND Jewish men (and wore a swastika tattoo on the insole of her left foot). The predominantly Jewish industry quickly blackballed her, which resulted in great PR for the industry in media outlets like the Dallas Morning Star newspaper. When the knife of bigotry is pointed at your OWN throat, what must be done is immediately and instinctively understood. Louder voices need to be manifested by the fans to urge that that lesson should be applied to ALL the ethnic groups that toil in the industry. I saw one movie called "Black Girl Want a Cracker". That's flat out racist! If it were the other way around with the N word in a title, a lot of people would be up in arms and crying racism. It's hypocrital and one sided! Racism doesn't bother me at all. I could care less if someone is racist. What bothers me is the one sidedness of a lot of people who only see things in one light and don't look at the whole picture. There are a lot of black men (not just in porn) who will only have sex with white women. Is that not racist? It's reverse racism. But you never hear the outcry from the racism activists over stuff like this. I personally don't like IR (black on white) and I will actually go out of the way to make sure I don't purchase movies with black on white scenes(both BM on WF or WM on BF) since it doesn't appeal to my personal taste. In conclusion, I think it's good that there are certain ethnic lines to appeal to peoples certain tastes. The markets is very oversaturated right now and IR fans have nothing to complain about since there is an abundance of films dedicated to their taste. Hitler is a perfect example of a rascist, he hated everyone who wasn't 100% german, even though he wasn't, but he actually had power over a large majority of the people he hated, so he would be a rascist, not earl that owns the owls nest tavern and hates black guys. It sounds like your preference in women isn't black, nothing inherently wrong with that. I am a black male who grew up on air force bases, some in europe, some in germany, then in the states, if there was rascism or predjudice people, I was to young to know. Humans beings figure out whats attractive by unknowingly processing everything they see and hear from the time they born. We are bombarded with images of whats supposed to be the ideal woman and man, these images usually aren't of black people, actually blacks in hollywood are usually portrayed as bumbling idiots or a simpathy figure to be killed halfway through the film. What I'm taking a long time to say is my preference in women is all over the board, but I used to think the only way to be cool wasd to be with a white women, I know think color is a non factor, I do still like smaller facial features, like a roman nose, but then I like full lips, I'm trying to say the world fucks with our brains, we can't help who we like. Biologically though men are far less particular about their mating choices than women. Recall the familiar cliche of racist slave owners who despise blacks yet sleep with their female Black slaves, and in particular the story of Thomas Jefferson, slave owner, who likely had multiple children with Sally Hemmings, one of his slaves. As for women though they tend to be far more particular in their mating choices and by extension far more racially discriminatory, which is borne out by numerous studies.
