Has anyone else had trouble with their discs?

Specifically, on my copy of Jack and Jill, the All Access behind-the-scenes segment (the main reason I like Wicked DVDs, actually) choked about a minute in, and wouldn't play. I just rented Roadblock, and there's about two minutes of Chapter 9 that won't play. The chapter starts fine, and I can rewind back into it, but there's a couple minutes that are lost.

I inspected it and didn't see any obvious scratches or defects. I'm curious to see if it's just my bad luck, or possibly a problem on their end.

Actually, no. It's a Pioneer F727 300-disc changer. Probably should have mentioned that, and the fact that offhand I can't think of any other discs I've had trouble with, porn or regular.

Have you tried testing the supposedly defective DVDs on other players? That´s the first thing to do when you´re suspecting that a title is defective.

I just popped Roadblock into my Xbox -- same problem. So this disc seems definitely messed up. I was mainly wondering if there was a pattern with Wicked, or even just these two movies.

You can check a list of problematic DVDs at Raincoat Reviews. But Wicked isn´t exactly known for defective DVDs, so I guess it´s a fabrication problem with your batch.

I had no problems with Roadblock in my JVC-XV-511, so I would suspect that you got a bad disc. With all the Wicked films I have viewed, only once in the past have I gotten a bad disc so it isn't a trend.

Did you rent Jack & Jill or buy it? I know the SCREENER versions of Jack & Jill that Wicked sent out had problems, but it was corrected for the release. If you bought I copy, I would e-mail Daniel Metcalf at Wicked pictures...I'm sure he'd be happy to replace your copy if you mail him the defective one.

Jack and Jill. Yes there are some 500 pieces out there that are defective. We had a formal recall and if you have a bad one we will replace it free of charge.E-mail me at David@wickedpictures.com and I will hook ya up.

Roadblock : Maybe your player I just checked it on a Sony 330 and it works fine. If you want send it in and I will check your copy, and replace it. Xbox and Playstaion 2 are not consistant in playing DVDS

Thanks for the heads-up. I've already sold my Jack and Jill and Roadblock is just a rental, so it's no big deal. I'm just glad to hear it's not a persistent thing.
