I used to really like Wicked Pictures movies.
Great looking girls, great sex.
But in recent mmonths, I've seen around six of their movies, and they've all been in slow motion.
It nearly drove me mad, I thought my TWO DVD players were broken.
Surely I cannot be the only man (or woman) who is driven crazy by this goofy technique.
It really is time, in this day and age of technology, that the movie makers STOP releasing movies in slow motion.
All DVD players have slow motion mode, there is no reason to realease a movie in slow motion.
I cannot remember the title, but there was one Wicked movie ENTIRELY in slow motion. Can anyone remember it? I think it starred Keri Windsor.

I agree with you Rumplestilt Skin. Wicked has become Vivid-like with their artsy fartsy bullshit. The other annoying "technology" that I hate is scenes that are shot with the fuzzy lense. If I wanted a fuzzy picture, I go back to watching my old VHS tapes!

Thanks for the support Button.
I agree, the fuzzy lense is another heated issue. There was one scene with Felecia, Missy and Jenna Jameson and the centre of the picture was fuzzy, almost could not make out what the hell was going on, while the edges flicked - THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SCENE...15 MINUTES.
A total waste of time.

slow motion and dissolving from one shot to the next are for the most part used as shortcuts in editing or a way to get a required length for a scene without looping the same clip 4 or 5 times. it is more often than not passed off as "a look" or "style" but it really is a means to cut sex footage together quickly instead of the more painstaking process of what's known as "match frame editing" which is what you see in mainstream cutting. Although, in defense of the adult editors out there, it is often their only option as much of the footage they are given is not shot with match frame editing in mind and would be impossible ot cut any other way.

sometimes it it used effectively in small doses, but for the most part it's a short cut

@Coffeycurve
Alternatively, it's used by directors who wanna get that extra mileage out of the footage they have.
IE, 40 minutes footage constantly slowed down, throughout makes the movie duration around 1 hour 20.
They never did it in the "old days", and other major studios never do it.
In short, there are no excuses.
It sucks.
