These days even low-paid jobs in retail, cleaning, and basic office admin are few and far between. While, based on the adverts in my local paper, there have to be a good 3-4x as many escorts in the area than there were a year ago. I'm amazed that there's enough money around here to support them all, but obviously it's better than just living on benefits. I'd be surprised if a lack of jobs didn't have a similar effect on the number of women trying to enter porn. Not a good think for the women currently in the industry, it'll inevitably mean less work for them, and probably a cut in their rates too. [Link] |
