..well it occurred to me that there have been several controversial, shocking new fads in porn which gradually became mainstream at various times in times passed. Like how first people fucking on film was it, then BJs, then facials, then it was anal, then DP, then anal creampies and double anal and gaping and it seems currently the controversial shocking new fad which may be gradually becoming mainstream is prolapsing (which I personally think is horrible, disgusting). Well then, what next? Golden showers and then later scat? Mainstream porn stars will many of them be doing one to a handful of scat scenes in their career? ..it was just a thought process I had. I mean, do you think this will happen in the future or will scat be skipped by this trend or will the trend stop? Will it peak at prolapsing or maybe at golden showers?

Hopefully-many current porn actresses have done pissing stuff in the past & some still do it currently in Europe. Some mainstream actresses did scat-Cherry Torn & Kami Andrews for instance.

You've got a point in identifying the tendency to try to break boundaries. However history isn't often quite that linear. A few decades ago many German productions of mainstream type included piss. My impression is that this has become more rare now. This probably due to a US-led moralistic wave drowning the world. For instance in Sweden bestiality is now criminalised. Sensible critics have said that all violence towards and mistreatment of animals are already forbidden and what goes on in the bedroom is not to be legalised about. To no use. When it comes to scat there has been some openings, but I would guess that the US moral impact is so great that no California producer would dare officially include it in their movies. Possibly we could see more planned "accidents" with not so clean rectums. Also we should consider the actresses/actors. I would guess that if we consider close contact i e mouth, a rather large number would say yes to piss. I once met a German professional stating that piss tasted better than sperm. You'll have to point me to where you read that scat is getting more popular because unless something as recently changed then scat is exactly what it as always been which is to say that it's a fetish that appeals to an extremely tiny portion of porn fans. In fact I'd say that scat isn't really porn since there is normally no sex between the performers. That's not to say that the people who like scat aren't avid fans of this type of fetish but playing with shit will likely never get any kind of serious traction. If scat was such a popular thing then it would have made some head way when the porn industry was actually making money and not now when it's nearly dead.

To be honest with you. I really don't know why we are talking about scat. I agree that it's disgusting and I believe the vast majority of people think the same thing as you and I. I don't know if my theory is accurate but I believe the reason why we have seen an increase in weird threads like scat talk is that some people have way too much time on their hands and instead of finding something constructive to do with it. They are trolling forums with useless threads. Maybe they get an insane pleasure in folling with people.I think clips4sale saw an increase in traffic for many of their studios because they were still producing new porn on a regular basis but I've started to notice a slow down in recent weeks that makes me think the honeymoon may be over.
