Subject says it all.
This season started out slow. I think it picked up a bit. I'd like to see what happens between Justin and Brian.
And last weeks episode (which I just saw) a lesbian Three-way? You know there's gonna be problems in the morning.
So do you guys still watch?
Or is it yesterday's newspaper?

Queer As Folk remains the highest rated original series on Showtime; thanks in large part to an overwhelming onslaught of straight women who make up the show's largest demographic. I think you can be quite sure there will be a season three.

I feel this season was a real let down. No real tension between any of the characters to speak of...at least none to really care about. Bored with Brian the most interesting thing this season is the tangible screen chemistry between Justin and his violin virtuoso, Ethan. The last two minutes of last night's show were the best of the season.

I think the writers have passed on some really good story lines. Michael's break up with the Doc was swept under the rug so quickly it gave little credence to what a broken heart can really do. Last season the tension between he and Brian made not only for good story telling but for some excellent dialougue. No one with a heart half a big as the writer's purport Michael's to be moves on so effortlessly. Who does? Except the Brian's of this world of course?

I read on the net somewhere that QAF was renewed for two more years, for a total of 32 episodes. That means only 16 eps a year, instead of the normal 22.

I still watch, but I decided QAF wasn't worth keeping showtime around for anymore. I can't believe how crappy this season was. The writing was awful, the storylines predictable, and I've frankly gotten to the point where I don't want to see Brian's ass anymore.

Crappy things about Queer as Folk:

  • Ted's porn website career was just silly

  • Emett's romance with the pickle guy was so by-the-books I knew the outcome of the whole story arc before they even had sex (you mean the old guy died? and left his money to Emett? and the family contested the will??? Noooo, say it isn't so!)

  • Michael's hunky bf is barely even on the show. How did they fall so madly in love so soon? And why don't we get to see his ass every fucking episode?

  • If Brian wins another ad campaign with photo shoots of naked men, I'm going to puke.

  • Justin's violin bf gives me the creeps (stop playing the damn violin! I don't want to hear it anymore!)

  • How did Debbie become such a bitch?

  • Those lesbians!!! Argggggh!

Cool things about Queer as Folk:

  • hmmmmmmmmmm

  • well, it's a gay show on TV

  • I'm thinking....

You may ask why I even watch the show anymore, and I really can't answer that. I almost feel obligated to watch it. It's like if QAF doesn't succeed, then it will be that much harder for any other good gay show to make it to the TV screen.

Boy, I sure was in a pissy mood when I wrote that last reply! Anyway, I just finished watching this weeks episode, and I actually really enjoyed it.

The difference between Ted's fantasy foursome and the reality had me rolling on the floor! If only the rest of the season was this good...

We've briefly got showtime. QAF was the only thing I liked about the channel, but not worth the monthly showtime fee. If it were on a non-pay channel the ratings would skyrocket.

Well, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one anymore who really didn't enjoy this.....if you really look back ,Season 1 was just as bad and I wish they had stopped then.

I think everyone was in shock at what they were showing and really got caught up in it. As it went on and on I totally lost interest. (I do like Justing new beau though!) Overall just a really bad soap with some softcore porn.

One of these days I'll catch the UK version as I'm sure I'd enjoy that alot more with it not being so over the top.
