I still have a decent stash of LDs that I'd like to watch sometimes, and not have to replace with DVDs. It's cheaper to get a discplayer, I think. Any of you pornhounds got an old one sitting in the closet? I'll swap VHS and DVD porn for it, if you're agreeable. I figure a $200 resale value on a good one = about 20 titles. [Link] |

I returned from vacation on Saturday to 5" of water in my basement and I'm still dealing with that. The flood destroyed my PC (I just got the new one today), my PC speakers (the subwoofer is filled with water) and all of my surge protectors and UPS's for both my computer and home entertainment equipment as well as causing and required a $425 repair job on my oil burner. But it looks like the rest of my equipment has survived (the 65" HDTV is on a 3" raised floor and luckily has wheels, so I don't think that it was actually submerged at all. However, I'm still trying to get the carpet dry without developing mold or mildew. Sometime next week or the following one, we can arrange to meet somewhere so I can give you the player (if you want it). It's not an "Elete" series model.
