I think many on the boards agree that women directors around in porn now are more numerous and producing better quality work than probably at any time in porn history.

Kylie Ireland is my personal favourite, but I see Jewel De Nyle producing great work, Francesca Le also. I'm not immensely enamoured of the directorial work of Taylor Rain, Jessica Dee or Ariana Jollee, but I know many other fans love their stuff.

My question is: with all the buzz around RLD and PXP losing some seriously talented directors in the past twelve months, will we see them take a risk and blood some lady directors for some new lines, or to take over their old lines? I know of very few fans who want to see John Strong and Martin Del Toro direct everything under the sun.

I have no idea which female porn stars are interested in this career path or who has what skills, but it would be a huge drawcard for the company to smack 'directed by Taryn Thomas' on one of their products, or to form a stable of female porn directors, not necessarily former porn stars. There could well be another Ionie Luv Coxx or Mason out there will skills and ideas to show off (although if there was, and they were any good, I wonder if they'd already be known to us now). However, my emphasis for this thread is that we take the girls who have previously performed, understand their roles as performers, and turn into directors.

Personally, I'd love to see what ideas lurk in the heads of Sandra Romain, Melissa Lauren, Tory Lane or Sascha Knox. And from what I've seen and heard, Jenna Presley would direct a fun, funky porn flick.
