Hi

Where can I find uncensored porn in Belgium? I was watching a Rocco-Kelly movie (Perversion in Paris) and there are various peeing scenes which have been cut out (does that mean it is the US version?). Its very obvious actually.

Would it be possible to find uncut versions of such movies in Belgium? Also, can anyone give me street directions to well-stocked porn video store(s) in Brussels?

Any info in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The peeing scenes were intact in the Shiva DVD of Kelly's Perversion in Paris . You should be able to find it in any decent shop in Flanders.

When I lived in Brussels in 1992, there were lots of good/decent shops in the vicinity of the Brussel Noord/ Bruxelles Nord station. I haven't been there in a long time and I believe that a lot has changed since then. They basically rebuild that part of the city and replaced the old neighboorhood and red light district with new yuppy office buildings, no? Maybe there is still some action in the Rue d'Aarschot?

I had been in North Brussel last summer.
While in fact the core of the old Red Light District near the Noord Station doesn't exist anymore, just as Burns wrote, there are still a few sex shops on the road that starts from the Ring, just in front of the new "yuppie" North Quarter, and from there goes inside the town, towards the center.

BTW, I studied in Leuven during the Academic year '92-'93, and during my spare time I used to pick up my car and go to North Brussel to watch some peep show and buy some smut. Maybe me and Burns crossed our paths back then.

Hehe great......Thanks guys.

By the way, what exactly do you mean when you say Shiva DVD?
And what I actually meant to ask was......does Belgium have any censor laws that would edit peeing scenes in movies?

Also, are those neighborhoods easy to find? Would someone like a first-time-tourist find them easily? And are these places safe?

Thanks again.

Shiva is a Dutch distributor. They also operate in Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. I don't think you will find much of their stuff in shops in Brussels. You're better off going to Antwerp or Mechelen (which is maybe 30 minutes away from Brussels).
Difficult question. Theoretically yes (and even then this could be debated). De facto, no. I have seen lots of peeing scenes in porn vids rented from Belgian stores. I am not familiar with the situation in the Walloon region and Brussels, where I suppose the market is being dominated by French distributors. In Flanders, German and Dutch distributors dominate the market. And since DVD really hit the big time here, more and more direct US import.
Yes. Just take the train in Brussels and get off in one of the three big stations, Brussel Noord - Bruxelles Nord. Or better yet, check into a hotel near the Noord station. There are some really good ones in the vicinity of the 'Rogier Plein/La Place de Rogier".
When I lived there in 1992 (I was a poor student and the red light district around the Noord station was very cheap) the place was also well known for its many drug users. I suppose most of them have vanished when the yuppies took over (ok, the yuppies are probably also drug users).
I never had any problems or felt unsafe, except for that one time when I was trying to make some photographs of a nearby street for a school project and some pimps thought I was taking pictures of the 'working girls'. Honestly I wasn't I learned my lesson quickly and I never again did something as stupid as that. Well, not when I was living there anyway.
Aha, so anyone can easily find his/herr way there by asking for the "Rogier Plein/La Place de Rogier" (where also the Brussels Erotic Fair (used) to be taking place). This should be a relatively safe area, and there are some decent (international) hotels nearby. I mean walking distance, 5 minutes tops.
Another island of smut should remain on the other side of the Noord station, in the Rue d'Aarschot. There used to be some stores there, but mostly window prostitution. That was the side that I lived in. Ah the memories.

Say, what is this. Last Saturday I was in Antwerp and while waiting for a red light, two black guys in the next car were signaling to me to open my window. When I did, they asked with a thick American accent if I spoke English. When I said "a little" (I am always modest), they immediately asked where they could find the red light district. Since I had to go in that 'general' direction myself, I told them to just follow me. They seemed really enthusiastic...
Hmmmm... is Belgium becoming a new center for sex tourism... What kind of advertising is our Tourist Board using in the USA anyway?
