What I believe separates them from typical dorkiness is that once the camera is on they are highly aggressive performers to the edge of being brutish and mean(except Rodney for the most part). I'm thinking Coffee Ron, Mark Wood, Dirty Harry and even L.T. come off dorky in some scenes. The Gapeman series seems to be a celebration of a type of muscle-bound dorkiness. Remember Tubby Bob? They did 3 scenes with him plus launched a whole new web site with him as the feature. The fun didn't last though, we got awkward dorky guys for a few months and then it was right back to the generic ripped studs. Anything other than these precise set of circumstances seems to cause an adverse reaction.
