Looking at the main forums page, I see that tricia_devereaux made the latest post to the Feature forum at 12:15:27PM on Mar 29, 2004. Yet, when I go into that forum, I find that David Crawford made the latest post at 12:15:27PM and there's no post from Tricia.

Anybody else seen this?

OK, here's another one, this time in Polls:

Weekly Poll 22Mar04: Crossing Over shows Hustler as the last poster on Mar 29, 2004 01:59:21 PM, after the account was deactivate! When you enter the thread, the last poster is Myload, who posted on Mar 26 2004.

What happens Hardware is a poster may be the last poster in the thread, putting in a NEW post. But if someone goes into another thread and makes an edit, then that thread will move to the top, but the 'last poster' does not change. You will probably find the Tricia Devereaux post in the second or third thread instead.

Yes, I've seen that happen, DD. However, I checked for that and couldn't find a post from Tricia. In the first instance, the time of David Crawford's post was exactly the same as when Tricia was purported to have posted, and in the second, Hustler never posted to that thread at all. So I'm suspecting a little database maintenance is in order.

Yep , noticed exactly the same thing . The 'effect' as I'm choosing to think of it ( pretty damn spooky if you ask me ! ) is still available for viewing as I type . The thing is Don , Trisha didn't post to either of the previous threads , or at all in the thread with the last post . Add to that the fact that David Crawford hasn't ( yet ) edited his post , and we have ourselves a fully fledged mystery on our hands . Don't worry though , 'cause Hardware Holmes and Dr O are on the case !

Hardware,

I can't find the thread. Check again because Tricia also made a couple of posts using David Crawford's computer, and she signed it Tricia but said her office computer was teporarily broken and she was using his computer.

Also, I think a couple of Hustler's posts (not LFP) were deleted as being totally off topic and derailing. A deleted post does not change the 'last poster' listing.

That's a brilliant Englishman with a prediliction for mystery and cocaine, and possessing a 13 inch dick, thank you very much.

This is the thread that David Crawford posted to in the Features forum. Now if you look at the page that lists all the forums, it shows Tricia as being the latest poster, and the time it lists for her post is exactly when David posted.

And this is the thread that shows Hustler as the last poster.

I can solve the Tricia/ David posts part of this...

I used David's computer when mine was broken. I forgot to log him out and me in, so posted as David Crawford last week.
This week, David made a couple posts. He didn't notice I was logged in on his computer, so posted as me. He emailed Steph and Drew, and they fixed it in the thread, but it still showed me as the last poster.

Ahhh . Another perfectly good mystery ruined by the intrusion of pesky facts .

I don't know about the rest of you , but I chose to continue believing what I know to possibly be true . It's more fun than Mrs Defraud and Mr Hugeware's explanation anyway . Given up already Holmes ? Didn't you know , they make us Englishmen ( twirls mustache ) of sterner stuff than that ? Well good riddance to you . The Crime Doctor is afoot !
