I'll try my best though. :) This is a tough question.... just off the cuff, and without having put too much thought into it, I think the appeal of DAP has to do with the need for a lot of fans to see progressively more "nasty" and "forbidden" acts. It wasn't so long ago that simple anal was the new and exciting thing that everyone was starting to capitalize on. Now that many sex acts in porn have become hum-drum and expected, there's always a search for the next envelope pushing trend. This is true of DAP, DPP, the swallowing of progressively more cum, "cum in the eyes", etc. I'm not saying necessarily that this is true of all people, but I think up to now this progression toward the more extreme and "forbidden" acts has been the simplest way for porn producers to offer something "new" to the market. Although not everyone will respond to every act, I really do think it has to do with the fact that most porn out there these days presents sex as a hum-drum, by the numbers experience, and porn producers are ignoring the fact that they need to take their time and create something erotic, and instead going for the next extreme set of acts that will sell the most units in the short run. I'm certainly not saying that many of these acts don't have their place, but much of what's out there lacks any context for them. They are simply there for their own sake. I readily admit I could be, and am probably wrong to a certain degree, and this is a terrible oversimplification--but I think there's at least a little truth to what I say. I know you didn't want this, but to add a little snippet of personal taste, I really think that it's short sighted of many porn producers to think this way. Eroticism comes from the mind, not the act. I would be willing to bet that even the most jaded among us would still be "whoosh"ing over a simple vaginal penetration if only the porn industry were populated by more people willing take the time and effort to explore the arousal BEHIND the acts they are capturing. Granted variety is the spice of life, and that's especially true of porn, but the problem is not the acts, the problem is the lack of meaning behind them. As for your second question...
