So instead of throwing it out, I thought I would read it. I haven't got very far, but has been an enlightening read all the same! So, she is still knocking around, and with a website no less!! Yep, those books suddenly appeared half-concealed in various places around the house about 1972 or 1973. My mother was an upstanding member of the John Birch Society, and dead-set against sex education in the schools. It being the place of the family to educate the child, her choice was to leave out a copy of The Happy Hooker. It was nice of her to leave out a copy of The Sensual Man, as well, or I would never have known that the man was supposed to have any sexual skills at all!
