Frankly, you are making something out of nothing: these ARE the noms that held out through the process of nominating in this category by the XRCO members. And I will say that, of the 50 or so members, very few bothered to nominate in this category for some reason. I have always suspected that a few of the LAZIER XRCO members may get their noms by the copycat play-it-safe method: see what other similar organizations get for noms and use them for a basis for their noms. And since nobody else HAS this Deep Throat category to use as a reference, the field is wide open. You don't make this category because you are known for deep throating over your body of work over the years. This is for 2008 releases - period. It is NOT an award for anyone in the past 25 years! Members nominated performers who apparently yanked their chain and got their attention by a particular balls-deep scene released in 2008. They don't have to be known for doing it all the time. One person suggested that this is a catch-all category - which is ridiculous as it is very specific. And the idea that we are trying to be a starmaker by putting in some of these deep throaters is absurd. 'Nuff Said (I hope).. db [Link] |

Even the scenes you cited for these girls sound awfully marginal. Shit, just about ANY Spiegler Girl has dozens of blazing deep throat scenes to her credit. I can understand not wanting to have too much overlap with multi-nominated girls in related categories. Still, a champ is a champ. In the original thread, the first three names mentioned were: Annette Schwarz, Sasha Grey and Belladonna. These are women who did a ton of high-profile work in 2008 (even if Bella is mostly directing, she gobbled a fair share of big black cock down to the root last year). I won't add more names, but just to say ... shit, if you had a porn version of that Family Feud game, and the category was Best Deep Throating Porn Star, "survey says" would put each of these names in the Top 5 EASY. That XRCO's voters could not even get a single one of their names in the Top 5 for this tells me someone is sadly out of touch. It's just weird ... that's all. And I hate to see truly deserving performers miss out on their due. I hope Angelina gets it, at least ... she's done a bunch of scenes and has a great rep.
