I have an order from XRentDVD that's gone missing. When I first emailed them about it I received an automated response telling me that my email had been received, followed the next day by a note asking me to wait another week and contact them if it still hadn't shown up. A week later there was still no package, so I sent another email. I received the automated 'got your email' response and that's it. I sent another email a few days later but have yet to hear anything back.
Has anyone else experienced problems with XRentDVD not following up on problem orders?
I haven't had any problems with X-Rent. But when I've had problems with other companies, I've found that phone calls can work better than e-mail. Have you tried calling X-Rent?
I guess I am still in the closet when it comes to porn, because I wouldn't call up an operator and tell them that my disc for "Cumswallowing Anal Whores" is scratched and I request a new one.

Hardware, sorry to hear about this problem you're having. I've been a regular customer of XRentDVD for a few years now and fortunately never had an order lost in the mail. Every time I've ordered from them they shipped their packages via Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. If this was the case with your order, you should be able to find out what happened to it once you get the tracking number. Best of luck!
The only problems I had were missing and cracked discs from their rental programs. The cracked replacements went out the same day or the next day, depending on when I let them know. The missing DVDs got me the "please wait a few days", so I waited a couple and they shipped out the replacements right away. Maybe it's just you...

Hardware I'd like to look into this issue. Can you please email me your order number? This whole situations sounds a bit odd, as we don't have an email auto responder that would have responded telling you your email had been received. Please make sure you are emailing customerservice@XRentDVD.com If you drop me an email I'll personally look into it.
XRentGuy: email's on the way. I used your website's "Contact Customer Service" page to originally notify your company of the problem and got the same type of 'We got your email' response. Since I was getting a boilerplate response, I just assumed it was from an auto-responder.
Just wanted to let everybody know that XRentGuy appears to have things straightened out. As one of the titles was purchased used, I have to wait for a rental copy to be returned before my replacement order ships, but now that I've got an order in the system I don't expect any more trouble.
I had a whole long back-and-forth email correspondence between myself and a company that sent me a Doc Johnson realistic that looked like a counterfeit to me (and a long email correspondence with Doc Johnson where they measured the original for me, went back and verified whether the suction cup was all one piece with the dildo or a separately manufactured and attached piece, where the logo should be, and so forth). We're talking maybe 8 longish emails, including an exchange of photos. You can just imagine. I got a refund, as it was eventually deemed a fake, according to Doc Johnson.
And here I was all geared up to dispute it on my credit card. That would have been fun.
It's not so bad if you are calling someone who works for the company the sold you "Cumswallowing Anal Whores" in the first place. It might be a different story calling the credit card company to dispute the charge. But the people answering the phones for a company like XRent are expecting these kinds of calls.
Even with the credit card company...who cares? Operator 32 doesn't know me. She's not going to call my boss and say "Did you know that Bill bought 'Cumswallowing Anal Whores' and is now disputing the charges?"
I've had problems buying DVD's from Europe. About half the time, my credit card company declines the charge and locks up my credit card. Now, whenever I order from Europe, I immediately call the bank that issued my Visa and tell them that I placed an order from Europe. If they ask who it was from I tell them. If they ask what it was for I say DVD's. The operator doesn't care that I'm buying porn from Europe.
Huh. I had my credit card company call once when I placed two orders on European sites in the same billing cycle to ask if they were valid orders. After that, I never heard a word.
According to the bank, the cards are sometimes put through manually as if I were in the store rather than the charge being for an Internet order. This kicks off the fraud alert. I've even pointed out that these are companies that I've bought from many times before...to no avail.
This bank seems to be a bit tighter with their fraud alerts than other banks that I've had cards with. However, they've recently been bought by Chase, so things may change.
Final update: XRentGuy was kind enough to provide me with a new copy of the movie I originally ordered used so that the order could go out today. Thanks, XRentGuy.
