I totally agree.
Ordered discs last Saturday and they arrived safely yesterday morning (Thursday).
Excellent service.

They ship discs and covers (no plastic cases) and they are customs friendly.
Just included some used discs in my latest order to see what type of condition they are in. Since they seem a very reputable lot I am pretty confident.

Glad you guys like 'em. I'm always a little edgy if I give a recommendation in case it doesn't work out. To be fair, in any case, the speed of delivery shouldn't really be attributed to the vendor. It's more about them choosing shipping methods that will give customers a good result.
Jethro, I've bought used discs from them and they have been fine - pretty much mint. There are sometimes great deals on overstocked DVDs there too, so this can help keep the value of the order down.

Hi, is there a mention of the retailer 'X Rent DVD' on the packaging (UPS Global Priority Envelope)? I remember Five Star DVD used to do that...wasn't happy. Many thanks.

No, just a nondescript trading name - which we WON'T mention.

You're absolutely right about this. My discs arrived today and you can't tell the new from the used. Great value.

I love Xrentdvd! I do most of my shopping with them. They used to be affiliated with the adultdvdtalk list of stores and their Kickback$ program. It really sucked when they left and I do hope they return someday. My only issue has been delivery time within Canada. It can sometimes take between 2-6 weeks for something I order to arrive. Although the six week order was an isolated incident. I tend to think the wait is more an issue with the service at Canada Post and Canada Customs. Sometimes they can be prompt delivering mail but that is very rare. If I really want something I usually have to pay through the nose to have something delivered overnight. Most of the time I'd rather spend the money on other dvds than having something arrive the next day. I guess I have to choose my battles wisely.

Wow! Stuff gets to Ireland safely within a week using global priority mail. I'll never criticise our postal service again.
Then again, Canada is so far away from the US...

My third order from XRent, and I'm not too happy. Although I got what I'd ordered quickly and all in one piece, the customs label was signed "Hairy Kunt". A totally inappropriate thing to happen, especially as it could have drawn unwanted attention during delivery.
As you can imagine, a email to XRent followed:
Let's see what happens now...

Most unfortunate, and quite unlike them. I've never seen anything other than the time-honoured "unintelligible squiggle" on their packaging. I am not sure how much attention is actually paid to these things by customs, but that is nonetheless pretty childish for them to do that. Do let us know how they address your complaint.

So, not two hours later I got a reply...
A quick response and I thought that was the end of that, not a lot else that can be done. Then, just checking my email, XRent Customer Services has requested a copy of the label so they can take it further. So it seems they're genuinely interested in rectifying the matter. I'll be preparing a scan as soon as I can.
