Finally manning up and posting in this thread. I've been reading it for some time now. As another poster said tsseduction.com is a real good site. It's in HD and they get some real babes on there. Weird. I was literally just thinking about this as I caught up with this thread. They cited the use of "tranny" and "shemale" as evidence of the transphobia in porn. I feel like trans people are celebrated in a lot of porn, yet at the same time, as celluloid notes, there is that porn tendency to be sensationalist in the rhetoric of the titles/blurbs. I was going to post here and ask the performers (and fans) their thoughts on the issue.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for [insert politically correct term for transsexual persons] and I'd like to know too. Am I wrong in thinking that there are terms that are accepted by sex workers and porn performers that are not considered appropriate to people not involved in those industries? My own thoughts as a fan is that all the slang words we use to describe transsexuals are kind of lame, even ones I've used repeatedly on this thread. As for which ones are offensive or degrading, that's probably not my place to say.

There was a TS woman and the mother of a f2m TS and their comments were extremely insightful. If it hadn't been for hearing that, I might not openly admit that I enjoy TS porn because of the old stigma associated with it. I'd be concerned about being called gay or Bi, but it's much deeper than that as I have learned. People judge or neglect alternative lifestyles and people's decisions to alter themselves to be who and what they want. It's the world we live in; when a TS person tells me that they do not like certain terms, I take it the same way as a black person not wanting to be known as a n****r. Just have to try to learn for ourselves, and persuade the people we share the planet with to be good to one another without becoming as prejudiced as they are.

Well, it's spelled tranny. And it's just a shortened version of the word transsexual, so I don't think it's offensive. Whatever you say is bound to offend someone. The term "she-male" does not originate in the TS community, and you will never hear a TS girl call herself a shemale. But it's a term for marketing to porn viewers, porn viewers who enjoy a certain niche. It's kind of like "midget wrestling". Little people feel disrespected when they are referred to as midgets, but let's face it, nobody wants to see "little people wrestling". It's just become a more marketable term or catch-phrase. It helps move product, but I think it's pretty easy to see how a person can feel dis-respected by any term they feel marginalizes them as freakish or somehow less than the rest of the general population.
^ Origins are indeed important. Sometimes terms get reclaimed, but only rarely do these terms become inoffensive in any context. "Tranny," in my experience, is deemed a term that was used against trans people by transphobic people, but has for some been reclaimed in a similar way to "dyke," but nowhere near to the same degree. But again, this is only in my experience from the things I've read and the trans people I have interacted/worked with.

That was my original point: Your societal limitations/constructs are affecting you're innate, primal reaction. You say that you wouldn't be interested because you'd feel WRONG in being interested. Raw sexuality isn't governed by these constraints, it's afterwards we tell ourselves what we should and shouldn't find attractive.
