^I think that fans are more disappointed when pornstars whom they actually know about and like retire. I happen to like Yhivi and some of the other performers who have retired this year.
She was always very upfront with the fact that she wasn't looking to become some major superstar while she did porn. She was making money and heading on to a new adventure. Highly respected attitude. I wish her the best.

^mmmmm maybe, just maybe, they realized that shooting porn wasn't for them, nothing more, nothing less.
I used to occasionally read her Tumblr, and there Yhivi seemed always like an intelligent young woman with an independent and free, and mature enough to make good decisions . So if she now decided that Porn is not a way of living she'd enjoy to continue anymore, I'm sure it's the right thing for her. Good luck to Yhivi, wishing her success & happiness in every future enterprise! :) Happy that she had walked the Path of the Pervert alongside us for a while... but the best of friends must part ways, sometimes.
I await Big Butt Oil Orgy 3 these days, when it is there, I know I will need some space on my own, I'll sweep the floor, push the buttons and I'll go for a ride to some place that has party action writtten all over it. That means I will have to close the door, bring on some vodka or whiskey, and then just let everything roll from there.
Yeah that was a great article, by far more filled with lived insights than most articles I read where outstudied nerds come up witth some piece of collected bullshit from all over the place, trying to make a stand.

^^It's a well written blog post, and I'm sympathetic to the toll her work took on her and her disappointment with her lack of control. That said, I wonder why she didn't experiment more with indie porn, which might have been more to her liking. She seems to take issue with the kinds of roleplays that she was involved in, so I also wonder if she believes that fetish roleplays should only depict positive behavior. Anyway, it's worth reading.
It was a very interesting read, and confirmed things I've heard her say in BTS for a year or so now. But yes it is very strange which types of roleplay and situations she found herself in that she wasn't happy with. I'm not discourgaing anything she said, quite sure a number of situations she just did, but now I'll sit and wonder which scenes they were. VERY good question as to why she didn't do more indie porn for any production company or website. She did Yhivi Does It which showcased her, but was this one of the DVDs that contains scenes she didn't like or want to do? Now those of us who enjoyed her scenes, and read this post, will want to hear more. Yes, the Amazon wish list remaining up there sorta flies in the face of her "leaving for good" stance.
^ I was completely impressed and have been with her intelligence and performances since I first saw her. But would be fantastic to hear more from her and her point of view on the industry. Not specific names or directors. Can't being a revolution by saying some words and walking away. I'd love to hear more.
Yhivi seems pretty savvy to me so on one hand she lets her fans know why she departed while on the other hand not burning any bridges if she decides to return to the biz. By not naming names in the open she does not scare off producers she might want to work with again because they can trust her not to say too much out of school. I always thought she'd be in porn for a little while, get what she wanted of it, and then move on to other adventures. Yhivi, if you still look in on us from time to time, good luck with whatever you decide to do. I hope you come back to shoot more under conditions and with companies you find to your liking. If you don't come back, live well. Best wishes.

As one of her fans, I will miss her for she was another wonderful unique presence in the industry, my personal opinion is that you should appreciate the effort that these people put into bringing their fantasies and yours to life. I read so many complaints about various people retiring or this person is not doing enough anal to suit someone's tastes but while you are entitled to your opinions - it's their bodies. Their careers, their choices, there's no contract when you enter the industry that says you have to cater to the whims of everyone else or put your health at risk in pushing yourself to physical extremes. My personal favorite Yhivi scenes are with Jessy Jones, Blake Eden and Harley Jade. Sinful Scorpio, Passionate Aries
That was an open and honest share. You have to respect that. You never know though, as she matures, she may make another run. No guarantee, but if she is a real sexual being, there is no telling how it might manifest. I have never seen a bad seen with her, but I also have to admit that by the time she made my radar, I think she was easing her way out of the industry. The women that don't listen to that voice are the ones that stay in too long, or even worse destroy themselves.

She is gone for good, into sustainability and growing her own food. Really bright young woman that will go on to a full post porn life, she is not a money chaser, and she is young enough to reshape her life and be good at something totally different. Annabel Chong did the same thing 15 years ago...she is in a completely different profession.
