WOW! Recently I purchased a copy of the movie on DVD but was told the film had been re-edited, I have actually seen old movie trailers of the film with parts that are NOT in my copy. | js81 Member 87 Posts 6/06 | Posted - May 15 2010 : 8:54AM I have done a lot of research and here is what I can tell you: There is a double penetration "rape" scene at the end of the film with Vanessa Del Rio, George Payne, and R.J. Reynolds. - I have heard rumors that there were VHS (not sure about DVD) versions that completely omit this scene entirely. I have never been able to verify this myself. - I have heard rumors that the scene itself is shortened from what was shown theatrically. I have never been able to verify this claim either. A few years ago, I purchased a DVD copy of it from Sureluck Holmes (remember them?). They claimed to have a very early print of the film on VHS that they transferred to DVDR. This version is identical to a VHS a copy I purchased from Excalibur in the late nineties. The "rape" scene is exactly the same in the late nineties Excalibur version (which had a cheaply printed Caballero label) and the running times were identical. - There is a cable version that has some extra dialog footage that actually fills in a plot hole that exists in the film. In the added footage, Jack Wrangler calls a bookie to place a bet on a horse race. When R.J. Reynolds and George Payne show up later in the film, they are there to collect this debt. This is never really explained well in the theatrical version. Sureluck's version doesn't have this footage. I only have about 15 minutes of the cable version on VHS, as it was accidentally recorded on a tape my parents used to own and the movie begins at the very end of the tape. This version is completely softcore and utilizes alternate camera angles in place of the more explicit scenes in the VHS. - The opening credits on the DVD and subsequent VHS versions of the film have been truncated. Go figure. - The trailers for the film show footage not in any known version. However, this sort of thing happening isn't uncommon, even in the mainstream film world. That's all I know. Vanessa del Rios line "i'm Cuban not Greek" is also a funny one. Ahh and jessie st james finding some lettuce or something hanging out of Vanessa is hilarious! [Link] |
