Nice. I knew some of it but was surprised I hadn't thought of some of the other stuff. Thanks. Edit - The Firefox extension is incredible! Every day I find a new reason to love Firefox. Considering the price of some commercial software that does one thing (and often doesn't even do it that well), it's still hard to believe Firefox is free. I've been running Firefox portable on my Win98SE machine for a few weeks now. It is truly amazing. For so long, I blamed the frequent crashes on 98SE OS, but the real culprit was Internet Explorer. System is much more stable when running Firefox.
98SE + IE = glitchy and unstable 98SE + Firefox = stable That's my experience. What OS do you recommend for a system which doesn't meet XP requirements. Must be free or very cheap. Edited by - ninja1 on 6/3/2008 5:59:00 PM

It's better than nothing to have internet working without crashes but you will have other problems with this awfull bug-generator system that is W98. Maybe you can handle W2000Pro, this one is good. I have XPPro, which is maybe a little bit better, but when I evolved from 98 to 2000 it changed my computing life ! Maybe your hardware is really old now...
