There is an intro screen shot, a couple of position screen shot (including close ups where applicable) and a conclusion screen shot. These screen shots pretty much give a picture of what to expect from the DVD. Sometimes from the shots, you can tell if the video is good or if it is a dark scene. Here's something for Empire to consider. We know you have to withdraw the screen shots due to 2257. We also know that certain stars are above 18. For example, North Pole 16. The stars are Lea De Mae, Gauge, Dominica Leoni, Aurora Snow, Vanda. Everybody knows Lea De Mae, Gauge, Dominica Leoni, Aurora Snow and Vanda are above 18. Even if one does not know, a check with the U.S.C. TITLE 18, SECTION 2257 would confirm that these stars are above 18. In such a case, since these stars are registered and certified above 18, why not have the screen shots? Right now, Empire simply remove any photos showing explicit content regardless of whether the star is registered or not. It's the explicit shots that consumers want to view. I'm sure that if Empire starts putting back screen shots for stars known/confirmed 18 years, people would start buying. And if you are wondering why people are not buying, we are waiting for the screen shots. |

Here's another long shot: The DVD always says the records are maintained by Mr X with the address in their 2257 compliance statement. Is it not possible to write to the custodian of records and obtained copies of the records? (Surely Digital Sin, Hustler etc would be happy to provide these records to their retailers) And with copies of the records, Empire would be legally able to show explicit content of the stars that have the required records. |
| Bill All-Star Member 5334 Posts 6/00 | The privacy implications of something like this surely outweigh the alleged efforts of the DOJ when they claim that requiring everyone to maintain records will reduce child pornography. There is no way that the DOJ can prove that requiring retailers to maintain these records would have any effect greater than requiring the original producer to maintain the same records. IMO, the final result of this will be that the retailers will need to state where the 2257 information is maintained by the original producer for every title that they sell. It won't be enough to just point all Evil Angel titles to Evil Angel, it will be necessary to show the exact same disclaimer informtion that appears on each specific title, including date of production and the name of the record keeper. |
