I'm thinking about buying my very first 4 Hour Comp DVD, but I've heard that at least some, if not all 4 Hour DVDs have trouble with picture quality (pixelation) because of the cramming of data onto such a small space. Is it the same for all 4 Hours DVDs?

the picture quality is usually quite pixelated on the ones I've seen,I will buy 4 hour dvds only if the content seems iresistable,or the price is really, really good.

I was wondering specifically about the Wicked 4 hr comps. Anyone seen any of those?

What about Vivid 4 Hour disks? Do they suffer from Pixelation badly?

Vivid's discs normally just suffer (and the older they are, the worse they are). If you want a 4 hour comp, some of the Adam & Eve's aren't too bad, and I have some hope for the Wickeds. You pretty much have a choice between 4 hours and quality.

I've bought a lot of Vivid dvd's(the Tower Video Outlet in NYC was moving across the street,so they were getting rid of their brand new Vivids for 6 for $20)The feature vids are fairly pixelated, the extra scenes even more so.I have one Vivid 4 hour, picture quality wise,it's about the same as the regular Vivids, which is to say,not very good.

VCA's 4 hour discs (released under the Filth Factory label) are very good on picture quality. I picked up Strokin' To The Oldies: Vanessa Del Rio and Strokin' To The Oldies: Amber Lynn, both are very good, mind you the original footage is from the 80's/early 90's, but as far as pixelation and artifact are concerned, I didn't see any.

On a general note, I've watched quite a few 4 hr comps. Vivid all-girl are good if you like that sort of thing, and their 3-way ones have been good too. Wicked's are so-so imho. I don't buy any more VCA - choppy camera work. I like Sin City's 4 hrs though.

Quality has been fine in my experience.

My husband and I enjoy watching them. Not as anal as gonzo, and don't have to suffer through naff plots that come with the features.
