They also sent me a replacement for my lost order via Global Priority. I haven't received it, though. It's already been on it's way for 10 days now. I seem to have really bad luck with them :-(

Hi Scipio,

my order was split into pieces because some items were on backorder.

The strange thing is :

The single DVD they shipped last already arrived about a week ago. I think it was sent via Global Priority.

Only yesterday 2 DVDs arrived. They were sent via Denmark although I was told they'd use Global Priority. These 2 DVDs were shipped a few days after the first shipment which hasn't arrived yet, so another 4 DVDs are still missing.

I just wonder why the DVDs that were shipped first haven't arrived yet. But I still hope for them to arrive. Maybe they were also sent via Denmark, although I wonder why I was told they'd be sent via Global Priority, and I'm also not sure why a package which is shipped later arrives earlier, so maybe I've lost another package :-o

Update
------

Ethan from FiveStar contacted me and promised to take care of the situation. So far FiveStar's service concerning my problems has been great and generous.

I feel a bit uncomfortable though that my orders are causing them so many problems. I have no idea why I'm not receiving so many packages lately. Is it bad luck ? Maybe they get stolen by someone working for the mail-company ? Maybe they get confiscated (although I can't imagine that since I never got a notification) ?

It's too bad there's no tracking available.

However... thanks again for your help, Ethan. I appreciate that a lot.

Update 2
--------

Hi again,

just wanted to let you know that I still haven't received the discs yet. After having my lost order reshipped via Denmark, guess what happened... It got lost. After having the lost order reshipped again via USPS, guess what happened... It got lost.

I don't know what's happening here. FiveStar certainly gave me great support, but even with all efforts it seems impossible to get the discs. I guess the shipping methods aren't suitable for Germany. I never had problems with DVDs that were sent without the boxes in an envelope with the real price not mentioned and a declaration like "Documents" or something like that, so I guess it's got something to do with that.

I also hesitate to ask them for help again because although they always try their best and are very friendly and helpful, I don't think they can change anything about it. Even if they were so generous to make another exception and reship it again it would probably vanish again.

I think I'm just giving up this time :-\

Hi, Purepauluk...

I'd like to emphasize again that their service is great indeed and that they were always generous and trying to sort out any problems. Their customer service is certainly (among) the best. I didn't say anything else.

I'm just thinking that the shipping method might not be suitable for Germany, since I've never lost so many packages in a row. Most of the packages I've received either contained only 1 or 2 DVDs or the DVDs were quite cheap. With more DVDs or content of a higher value the problems started. So I can imagine that your one DVD arrived safely and quickly. Maybe a solution could be to order only one DVD at a time, but adding the shipping cost of $2.50 or $5.00 to every DVD I order would quickly eliminate the price advantage. Ken once wrote me a mail saying they were soon going to offer other shipping methods. I hope they will be available soon.

Spesedy,
Jay did post something, he then deleted it.

My last order with FiveStar about 3 weeks ago took about 5 days to arrive using Global Priority.

charlie:

I don't know what's happening to my orders. Never experienced something like that before. If there weren't other orders from EroDVD and DVDAdvantage arriving safely, I'd suspect customs had my name on a list and would open all the packages that are sent to me. Shortly after my last post Ethan from FiveStar contacted me. I really didn't expect that and was very happily surprised. Their customer-service is outstanding, and although I certainly already cost them more than they earned with my orders they still try to help me out and address my problems. On the other hand - once the problems are recognized and solved, they can be sure to receive lots of new orders from me. I really appreciate their service a lot. I hope this time Ethan and me could work something out that works.

I'll keep you updated.
