In a lot of the porn I've been watching lately there seems to be more and more girls with what looks to me to be acne. This seems to be most noticeable when there are closeups of her face and definitely after a facial which can run the makeup. Has anyone else noticed this or am I confusing something else with it? Since there are so many 18-19 year old girls in the biz it stands to reason that some of them would still have some acne. My face didn't clear up until I was about 21 so it seems reasonable that some younger kids would still have it. Btw don't get me wrong I'm not criticizing I'm just curious. Several of my favorite girls have this.
I have some friends in modeling and acne is very common in that field, which is partly why there is so much touching up in print ads. One met Tyra Banks and was stunned at the condition of her skin when she wasn't made-up.
The reason for this primarily is the wearing of excessive amounts of make-up for long hours at a time under hot lights, sometimes for days at a time. I imagine it's worse with porn because there's so much exertion, lots of bodily fluids and the girls probably have less say in what make-up they use to prevent break-outs.
a lot of girls get acne out breaks in this industry due to the amount of make-up that gets caked on their face day in and day out, imagine..all those different kinds of make-up each day, hot lights beaming on your face (not to mention the other Messy things that end up there) its not always the best for skin...other things like Age, Tanning beds, smoking, bad diet and stress can add to this as well.
Hormonal change due to youth isn't the only reason. Change in diet, smoking, and a vigorous exercise routine (to stay in shape before the camera and some on camera too) will cause skin blemishes in mature women. Also, some women who begin taking or switching birth control pills also suffer from acne problems.
So cumulatively, there could be alot of reasons why blemishes break out in addition to the #1 likely reason: makeup and heavy activity under hot lights.
I thought most girls have a makeup preference, like Bobby Brown or Matis etc. and they stick to that brand. Switching products is not good for the skin. Drink at least 2 litres of water per day too!
I had a model friend pass on some advice on skin treatment. Please note I've not done used any of these treatments myself personally, but that these is info she's received on improving her skin as she also suffers from a mild acne problem due to makeup. I thought this might be helpful information for some...keeping in mind that most recommend seeing a dermatologist first for advice.
------------- "I was recommended by my doctor to use Obagi products before and liked them. I get a mild chemical peel to my skin and am going to get a TCA peel to undereye area come winter. My aesthetician works in a plastic surgeon's office (where I had my implants done) and as he is an extremely particular man about procedure's, I go with the reccomendations of he or his help.
A chemical peel is a great way to freshen skin. In this office she first uses a "blade" to gently scrape skin and then uses a mild solution of Resorcinol to refresh skin. She follows up with dry ice to close the poors and to oxygenate skin and kill bacteria. Also, a Retin-A and hydraquoinine (sp?) is something that they sell for daily use. Quinona is a bleach.
Im currently using a line called Bigelow Co. It's a very, very old line and all very mild, using things like witch hazel and even rose water in it." -------------- "It is a mask from Bioelements... Kerafole (www.bioelements.com) that an extremely educated salesclerk/esthitician at my favorite beauty supply store recommended. You do it once a day for 7 days and leave it on for 10 minutes and it removes all of the dead cells, etc... I noticed a difference after just one application but even a bigger difference now (3rd day). She also recommended an alternate skin care line by the name of Boscia (www.boscia.net). I am partial to Dermologica but found some great new products from this line as well (they are natural which is always great)." ------------- "I am using the microdermabrasion Kit from Loreal and it is working really good. My pores got bigger and my skin a little red since I moved here to the states, different diet and weather. It is cheap and seems to really works, do 3 times a week." ------------- "I have tried microdermabrasion and noticed a difference (smoother skin, smaller pores) but the results did not last very long. What did work was laser (great for evening out discoloration from sun damage, pore size etc...) but you really need to be diligent with sunscreen and wearing a hat because you are more prone to damage and scarring after treatment.
I think all options are solid choices but which ever one you choose is not a short term fix...you must incorporate it into your beauty routine on a regular basis to maintain the results." -------------- "I have found that a lot has to do with the products that you use on a daily basis. I use a make-up that is made from minerals instead of talcom powders which clog your pores and can make them appear large. Check out this website www.janeiredale.com for information about a really good make-up line. I have also done a lot of reading on laser treatments. There are a lot of medical day spas that are offering a wide range of treatments these days but I think that I would rather make an appointment with my dermatologist and talk to her before I make a decision."

Most girls DO have their own makeup preference, but when they go to several different porn sets a week, the makeup used on each movie belongs to the makeup artist, so it's often different each time.
And yes, water should be your skin's best friend. :)
Make up is a contributing factor, but Proper cleansing is key, if your not getting the dirt and sebum out of your pores it becomes a breading ground for bacteria. The girls have little choice in the make up thats used, but they do have a choice how to remove it.
I cant believe im discussing skin care in the porn pool!!!
It's important though! What you look like and all that! Some products suit, others don't! You have to find what's best for you. I'm surprised that so many babes just take what's on offer, i.e. makeup artist gear. Most girls should know, and probably do know, what goes and what doesn't!
I've actually got loads of Nivea stuff. (No, I don't work for them) and (No, I am not gay)
