I open topics I want to read in new tabs and then I mark all topics read. This works fine on my first visit of the day, when I get fresh session cookies, but if I do a second visit in the same browser session things go wrong. Today I visited a few hours ago and all was fine, but now I get back it says "Active Topics Since Last Visit on 9/23/2019 9:46:01 AM" while my last visit was today. And of course it loads a huge list when it goes back that far. Jacco [Link] |

The persistent cookie stores the date you last visited. The value of that persistent cookie date is copied to the session cookie when you establish a new session. If your browser settings don't allow persistent cookies (or if your cookies are cleared automatically) the forum code has no way of knowing when you last visited. I suppose I can store that info in the database instead of in a persistent cookie. [Link] |

So to recap, if the session cookie is not already there (with new browser session) all is fine, if the session cookie already exists it goes wrong. Jacco [Link] |

On both, Google Chrome is the web browser I use. Also for both, I use Chrome's "incognito window" every time I'm on ADT. Could that be the problem? I mean, I've been doing it this way for years now, never had this problem come up until January.
