Hi,
I'd like to buy the 'EL' dvd box set using kickbacks through dvdadvatage but it doesn't show up in adultdvdtalk's search engine. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a store added to the price comparison?

Thanks.

videobliss, you can e-mail webmaster@adultdvdtalk.com and inquire about the specific title. Please include as much detail as possible (including a link to the product). Depending on the title and store, it may be possible to add it to the price search.

The price search data is built from Adult DVD Talk's retail partners. There are certain technical and consumer standards that must be met before a store is added to the price search, and the addition requires the active participation by the store in question.

Hope that helps,

videobliss: Sometimes titles don't appear on ADT's price search even though they ARE available at a particular vendor. The data transfer from the participating stores is good but it is not perfect.

IF DVDAdvantage has EL (and it is an adult title eligible for KickBack dollars), you can legitimately fool the system by finding a title or two at DVDAdvantage that will transfer using the KickBack purchase icon and then, once you are on DVDAdvantage's site: 1) add your EL to the cart (along with any other titles you might want), 2) delete the items you do not want from your cart, and 3) proceed to checkout. Note that you must add items before you can delete items - you cannot have an empty cart or you lose the KickBack link.

You can also add/remove titles when you spend KickBack dollars once you are on the vendor's site just as long as you have the KickBack coupon code.

Thanks, I'll give both these suggestions a try.

I have found that exculsion from the price search is often caused by slightly different versions of the title name used by the different vendors. An example would be Taboo vs Taboo: Collectors Edition. Sometimes, this is just due to a typographical error at the vendor.

When this is the case, if you see it, it would be nice of you to let the vendor know that they have a different spelling of the title that is causing them from appearing on the Price Search. They will usually make the appropriate corrrection. This is especially true with DVD Advantage, since they often have the lowest price for a title, and certainly stand to create some sales by appearing on the price search.

Search for "el ", that is EL and then a space. This brings it up. (https://www.adultdvdtalk.com/price_search/search_item.asp?sku=12250)

Tricky because of it be a two letter title.

Thanks Marc.

Here's a direct link to the price search results for the box set.

One thing to keep in mind with our price search: we do not list retailer-built bundles. We do list box sets that are shipped from the studio as a complete set. It's often difficult for us to know which type of bundle/boxed set an item is when it hits the price search.

The price search has been running somewhat on auto pilot for the past two weeks while Steph and I were out of the country. There's a bunch of brains built into the system and it can handle many tasks on it's own but this particular one is an exception. I hope to have all of the retailer's new titles from the past two weeks linked up over the course of the next two days.

I wish I had seen this when I was shopping last week so I could've helped out. I bought most of the adult anime titles I didn't have in a couple of orders. I found the EL box set fairly easily and added it to the order. The kickback only sweetened the deal. Yay ADT!
