Repeatedly informing new users what the forum rules are is annoying. And posting a link to a post in the Deactivation thread can be moderately time consuming. Would it be possible streamline the process a little and add a button to posts that members can just click to inform the moderators?

There is. At the top right of the screen there is a link to "message moderator".

The same button also exists at the bottom middle of the screen.
Just in case you don't want to go to the top.

Thanks! And guys, despite appearances to the contrary, I do have basic reading skills. I swear.

It's easy to miss. I knew about the "message moderator" on the bottom of the screen, but not on top.
I've only been here 10 years.

What info does "Message Moderator" provide to the recipient? Do I have to input all the details (which forum, title of the problem thread, create URL link to the problem thread, etc.), or are those infos automatically captured and automatically included?

^ The thread it was sent from is automatically given to us. Not the post in particular. If you send a message using the button, either link the post (copy and paste the link from the "[Link]" button on the right side of the offending post) or just mention the username of the person causing the problem.

One request, if you are just listing the user name, please provide a date/approx time for the post. I've received some where there are 10 posts by the listed user in a short period prior to the PM and something like a tube site link can be easy to miss scanning that many posts. Nothing needs to be hugely detailed. Just something like "membername, today, around 10:30pm, tube site." As killbillvol69 said, the thread URL is automatically inserted into the moderator e-mail when using the e-mail a moderator link.

Even easier would be to copy the date/time stamp of the post that you are writing about before hitting the Message Moderator and then paste it into the post.
