Forgive me if I should already know this somehow, but:

First question is: Is the new Image Policy retroactive? Because I'm still finding hardcore things like this in the review section here. (btw, I'm not trying to single anyone out; I just chose that page at random, since those were the first hardcore pics I had seen here) (I'm relatively new to ADT)...

The other question is: Does one need to get permission first, from the various porn companies, to post screenshots of their DVDs? If not, then, if I wanted to capture some [image policy compliant] shots, and then post them here, would I need to do an actual, formal review (like the one linked to above) in order to have a place to upload the pics? (I don't have a webpage of my own) Or could I just post them here in the forum? I clicked on "properties" on one of the shots on that particular review page, and the address given is an ADT address (https://www.adultdvdtalk.com/reviews/screenshots/picman/2Dicks1Chick7jpgs/2D1C7katsumi.jpg), so... does that mean that there's a special screenshot area where we would need to go to upload pics?...

Anyway, forgive me, I'm very NOT web-savvy. But I'd just love to be able to post a pic, in a matter of seconds, instead of sitting here laboring for hours trying to describe to someone, in words , some girl (or some scene setting, whatever)...

Anyway, please advise. Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken ADT will no longer upload screenshots for reviews.

Slider,

Here is a thread that gives some of the guidelines and discussion on the topic.

The Justice Department is currently reviewing the comments submitted following their notice of proposed rule changes. Once the effective date is announced (assuming that the fundamental language of rule remains unchanged), ADT would have about a month to comply. At that time, there will be an effort to remove hardcore images hosted on the ADT servers, as well flagging reviews with inline images (such as the link in the original post above).

As far as permissions, the general consensus is that captures for review purposes is permitted (and even encouraged), so long as you're not profiting from the images or distributing excessive numbers of captures.

There's no officially supported hosting facility at ADT for vidcaps because it would require someone to monitor images for content. Under the proposed rules, ADT and the reviewer can be held criminally responsible for violations of the record keeping requirements. ADT has provided hosting space for long-time and established reviewers, although if the new rules go into effect, this may be eliminated.

If you are looking for an adult hosting server, use the forum search and look for "image host".

Hope that helps,

Until the new 2257 stuff plays out completely we won't be making any new image hosting space available. We have already put a lot of work into preparing the site for compliance with the proposed rules. it will take us about 4-5 days to implement the changes we have waiting and clean things up.
