It also seems, every (USAnian) B-movie support-role actor in mainstream movies has a photo in the IMDB, but even well known contract-stars like Racquel Darrian, Janine Lindemulder or Jodie Moore, e.g., do not have a portrait submitted, not to speak of a picture gallery. Is there any reason for this? [Link] |

| cv Member My reviews[/url] 594 Posts 7/03 | Posted - Jul 11 2004 : 5:27PM Meanwhile, a separate adult film database was being created at IAFD; it was associated with the alt.sex.movies newsgroup and later rec.arts.movies.erotica (after the former succumbed to spam). Currently, there is no logic for people to contribute data to IMDB. Neither Amazon.com nor its affiliates sell adult movies. Also, the adult film database has some special features to its database scheme which help identify things that porn viewers wish to know (e.g., "How many times has Mark Davis partnered with Jenna Haze?" or "How many DPs has Gauge done?"). The terms of use for Amazon.com/IMDB would not allow for the types of reviews commonly submitted for adult films either. [Link] |

Various online stores may have also a good databases. Orgazmik, e.g., serves also well, but with exception of a few actors, the various akas are not merged like in the fabulous egafd and eurobabeindex. [Link] |

I mean, go at the site of $racing/sports_league, and you will find information about all teams and drivers/athletes. [Link] |

The database was actually Peter's long before a.s.m. or RAME. As the story asI tell it goes like this: he maintained a database of films he watched, so we wouldn't see the same one twice. then, he started adding movies he wanted to see... finally, he added anything he could get info on.The database was then put onlinein '95 or '96 by heretic who used it as a way to learn SGML programming. When he went and joined the armed forces in '98 or so, the site 404d out of existence. Then, I needed to learn SQL Server Web Programming, I talked to Peter, and the rest as they say... we've been running IAFD.COM in its current incarnation since Feb '99. Agreed. Post your reviews here at ADT and they'll find their way into the IAFD due to the sharing arrangements we have. (Think of it like the "extenal reviews" from IMDB, as opposed to the "user comments").[Link] |
