I noticed back in january that AdultDVDEmpire double charged me for an order that i placed in November (in december). I called them to tell them they made a mistake(several times now) and each time they tell me they credited me back on January 5, 2007 the day i called. It has been Almost 50 days now and i am still not showing the refund back on my credit card. I called my CC company and they also say they do not see any credit. I have since emailed and tried to get Adult DVD empire to explain themselves or whats going onand I have emailed them several times this week, But they have not yet to write me back.

The charge was for a little over a hundred dollars.

I have now had to dispute the charge with my CC company and they are agressively pursuing my money back but it will be another 3 months before i get anything back, as per my CC company says.

So Beware Adult DVD empire Customers, they did something shady to me and have yet to correct it. I will let the board know if this changes, but i have emailed them several times

It would be helpful if you could include your order number so their folks can associate your post with a customer in their system.

Well I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with ADE, but I have not noticed any double charges from them on the orders I have placed in the past few months. As for I have been a customer of theirs for several years, they usually take care of problem pretty quickly. One of the head guys at ADE frequents this board, so maybe he can help you out.

Order Number 15448079

I hope so....

I have only been a customer of theirs for four months but in those four months, i have spent somewhere around $525 dollars in four orders. If you do the math, that makes me a 1500+dollars a year customer...And when i called and told them that they still havent credited my account, They tell me to call my CC company...

What kinda poor customer service is that??

A customer complains and you ignore them?

At this point, my credit card company has already filed a dispute against them and more than likely they will force the money back onto my card, but i just want others to be aware that this shadyness was going on so it doesnt happen to them..This has been a hassle that has taken me hours to correct.

I didnt even get an apology from them, a coupon maybe, for them screwing me out of my funds for almost a four month period..All i have gotten is pissed on.

Something doesn't seem right with the credit card company too. Every time I've had a dispute on a card I haven't had to pay for it until AFTER it's been resolved. Unless Empire could show two separate invoices for the amount, two shipping #s where one should have been returned, something like that, there's no way the credit card company should be acting like it sounds to be. I'd worry about the credit card company as much as I would Empire.

All that said, lately unless we're talking about shipping out orders, it seems to take Empire about a month to do anything.

its a prepaid credit card through western union. The funds were on it before the first transaction...They double billed me, it ran it into the negatives and the next time i put money on it, like a week later, it ate up the new money that was added....

Sorry i didnt post that part before

I haven't had problems like these with ADE but I have noticed an increase in their prices lately.

deadhead236: We are sorry for this payment problem that you experienced. The problem that occurred was our payment processor's records indicated that you were refunded for the double charge. It turns out that this information was incorrect and the refund was declined. This was probably due to the fact that the Western Union card was a pre-paid card, not a traditional credit card.

The DVD Empire Customer Service Manager emailed you regarding this problem and has not received a reply back.

The customer service email:

I am sincerely sorry that this credit still hasn’t appeared back on your credit card. I had our accounting department do some research as to why this didn’t happen, and it seems even though we processed the credit the people who acutally process the cards which is a third party company didn’t put it through correctly.

We are willing to resolve this situation, as I am sure this is very frustrating. If you have not disputed this with your credit card company yet, we can overnight a refund check to you. Or if you would like to stop the dispute with the credit card company we can still overnight a check out to you.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed in this matter.

Best Regards,
Angela
Customer Service Manager

Please reply to the customer service email, or you can contact me and I will forward it on the appropriate staff so this matter is resolved to your satisfaction.
