Until you have watched the following movies:
Insatiable
Behind the Green Door
The Devil in Miss Jones
Deepthroat
The Opening of Misty Beethoven
Debbie Does Dallas
DO NOT request acts on film unless you can compare and contrast them to acts in the aforementioned movies. DO NOT POST HERE and express your opinion on how porn should or should not be unless you've seen the above. These movies encompass the width and breadth of all that is good and lusty and healthy in porn and if it wasn't in these movies it is unnecessary and likely, unhealthy.
From this point forward until I expire, I will refer your incessant and sociopathic requests for ass-to mouth, ass-to-pussy and dirty anal scenes back to this thread, and by extension, to the mentioned films.
You have been warned.

I never saw Deep Throat. I heard it was way weaker than the documentary I saw on it that put me to sleep. I do however, have the song deep throat on my ipod.

Good for you Jacco, you are duly qualified to discuss porn on this board. As for belch- well, we know he'll get himself deactivated soon enough.

I saw 4 of those films in their theatrical run. DDD and Insatiable I saw on LD. But I take no pride in being an old man like Bornyo.

I guess Bornyo likes being sarcastic.
Am I the only one here who doesn't know any of this titles and still don't feel I missed anything?

You want me to mess with my pituitary gland? I don't think that's going to work. You're kind of going to have to let me be who I am because I'm kind of really not doing anything wrong.
Or maybe you could explain what I'm doing wrong.

jesus steve, those seminal titles are part of the history and the beginning of our business. without those classic movies, you would never even be in the united states working in porn. are you serious, or just being sarcastic? i am hoping you were joking.

I think you deserve a pass on this one Steve, you couldn't be accused of missing anything. Me, I've seen 3 of the aforementioned classics. The lack thereof wouldn't stop me anyway. LOL.

if it wasn't one of those movies it'd just be some other movie. Hence: postmodernism.

Misty Beethoven is great and Constance Money is an all-time favorite ... Bonus points if you know who the director Henry Paris REALLY is and what his significance is to 1960s film history -- not just porno.
Deep Throat and Debbie are really lame but hugely archetypal ... Gotta love Marilyn Chambers, porn's first "superstar" ...

Well I have Seen:
Behind the Green Door
The Devil in Miss Jones
Deepthroat
I haven't however seen the rest but i surely will some day, so i'm halfway there. Of course it's hard to enjoy them so much due to my distaste for great big bushes.

Considering 4 of the movies were made prior to my birth I really don't care and also the fact that the quality/technology used to generate these films has been surpassed exponentially It makes me less inclined to watch.

Is Bornyo serious or sarcastic? Probably both, at the same time, although I'm not sure what the mixture looks like in this case.
Of course, sociopathic requests are never good, but I'm afraid it wouldn't help a sociopath to watch those six films (unless he wanted to go to sleep - wait, that's unfair, three of them are quite decent).
Reading is good and why not read something about porn? Linda Williams, Hard Core: Power, Pleasure, and the "Frenzy of the Visible" is a good read, even if it's getting a bit dated.

aussie, most of those films were made before I was born and I've seen them all.
To say that you don't care because they were made before you were born is ridiculously close minded and is the kind of attitude Bornyo is making fun or here.
I would also like to know how the technology/quality has been surpassed as many of these films were shot on 16mm or 35mm film by professional film crews whose skills make today's crews look like troglodytes.

Add "Igrid's Dark Experience"...the first full lenght shot on 35MM film interacial flick, "That Lady From Rio"...Porn legend Vanessa Del Rio's best flick..."Silvia"...the psycho-sexual classic with an intense rape scene..."Sex World"...with John Leslie being dominated by black bombshell Desiree West... and yes I've seen the others, on the big screen, in dingy "X-rated movie theatre's" the way they were meant to be seen...

LOL! Most of those movies, while groundbreaking at the time of their release, are utter CRAP compared to today's production porn values and general nastiness.
I can't watch anything released prior to 1990, and even most of 90's porn was garbage (although 95% of what gets released is still crap, so maybe that's not saying much)
I look back mostly at particular stars I had porn crushes on - Loni Sanders, Lil Oral Annie, Kandi Barbour, etc., but releases? Nope.

I have a copy of "Deepthroat", and the only parts of "Debbie Does Dallas" I've seen are when I was in college and one of my friends (A guy) for no reason whatsoever picked me up, slung me over his shoulder, and carried me down the boy's dorm hall. He knocked on a random guy's room, and when they opened the door he walked in with me, dropped me down on the floor, walked out of the room and just left me there. I was surrounded by about 8 guys sitting around a TV watching "Debbie Does Dallas" and now they were all starring at me because suddenly I was standing in their way. I saw a few seconds of the opening credits, then I smiled, said "Er, sorry fellas." and quickly backed out of the room.
Was it any good?

I'm surprised that the original Story of O is not on Bornyo's list. It may not be hardcore porn, but it's place in the seminal filmed erotica hall of fame should be safe.

Wow - porn snobs. I'm one myself I guess, but wholly committed to classics? Not for me. I've actually seen all but one, and I think today's stuff blows this away. All people think whatever was around in their heyday or when they came of age was the best ever put out. And no one else "gets" it. Well, actually, that's just the stuff you'll never forget since you saw it when it was all new to you and set the template in your mind for what's good and what's not. I'll never forget my first few movies I saw when I was 11 or so. They were god awful movies with no stars to speak of, but I look for them all the time to connect with that child inside that was blown away by what he saw when first introduced to it all. But they SUCKED - yet I continue to search for these titles - something in my mind has tricked me into thinking they're good (but it's just the memories that are good, not the movie). But I realize they were pioneers and these movies helped build the industry and definitely deserve respect (but would MUCH rather watch today's porn).
And, personally, I put Garage Girls over any of these.

Of Bornyo's list I'd say The Devil In Miss Jones, Insatiable and obviously The Opening of Misty Beethoven stand up today as still great. The others are historically important but not very good overall.
There isn't a porn film made today that can match the production values of Insatiable so I don't understand where the claims that today's porn is better in that department are coming from. Perhaps they mean that the film isn't lit like an industrial instructional video?

I have seen all of these and have Deep Throat & Devil in Miss Jones on DVD the latter accompaning the Savanna Samson updated version. Back in the 80s when I first got a VCR The Opening of Misty Beethoven was simply referred to as Misty Beethoven as far as I can remember though I must admit it's been many years since I've seen TOoMB. I prefer Constance Money in a much better film she did in 1983 called "A Taste of Money"(Atom Film) where she has sex in all the scenes. Who can forget her blowing a father & son balloonist team in their hot air balloon. Gosh! does anybody remember Atom Film & Video? Debbie Does Dallas is the only one out of the bunch that I wasn't to crazy about as a film though I liked Bambi Woods. I feel that DDD was imitated so much after it came out that the copycats sometimes DID do the concept better. A year after DDD came out there was a movie called Hot Rackets(1979) with Lisa Deleeuw and it duplicated the camera setups in DDD almost scene for scene but HR was just a better movie imho than DDD.
Can someone please help with the name of the famous company that put out Hot Rackets? Chuck Vincent did a lot of stuff for them but their name escapes me now? It was a very well known company and they put out "This Lady is A Tramp"(1980) with Samantha Fox.
