My guess is that most who get passes would prefer to have it back to trade and not let fans be a part of it. But you never go backwards and so I think us fans will always be invited. Sometimes people forget that without the fans buying the product from the retailers, how would there be a viable industry? One thing I appreciate from attending 5 years in a row now is, unknown or new girls who enter the industry get to meet would be fans. If not for meeting some of the girls over the past 5 years, I really would not be a fan. This is another way of getting new fans and us fans seeing some new talent. With the economy not back up to par in the USA still, this will be a scaled down show for some time to come I believe. It is going through some growing pains now and in time the Expo will be back to being bigger. If we fans are booted from this show, I'll take the 5 years of attending and say thanks. And also say what a shame we got tossed aside.

Example of a someone I met and now am a fan of. I didn't really know who she was, I bought I Love White Boys #2 and Black feet On Booty Street #2 because of Nyomi Banxxx, Jada Fire and Melrose Foxx, not knowing who Misty was and after meeting her, I think she is awesome.

some good points here...i couldn't believe when i heard what they were charging fans for tickets this year...and with shorter hours and no shows by companies and actresses was it really worth it to pay all that money?
^ IIRC part of the reason AEE switched to a Wednesday-Saturday format for 2007 and 2008 was to counter the drop-off in studio attendance on Sunday (the most notable example was Vivid). During these two years Vivid had a reasonably-staffed booth on the last day of the show. The AVN Awards were still on Saturday though.

That may have been part of the reason, but the big picture was because that year, CES switched to the previous Sunday-Wednesday, and AEE wanted to overlap by at LEAST one day to try to get some crossover from the press and attendees. CES has switched their days of the week a lot over the last 10 years.

No, it was when they ended on the previous Wednesday, and we were still Thursday - Sunday that things got switched. The event group that puts on AEE seems to want at minimum one, but preferably at least two days of overlap between the two shows. I'd prefer to have it be 2 days overlap MAX. It would bring down hotel rates for the days when the 2 shows don't overlap.
^Does Vegas sell out for the AEE / CES overlap days? I remember that my dad and I couldn't get a room anywhere when a truck-drivers convention or some such thing was in-town, and we were driving to San Diego. Then...when NASCAR was there a few days later, we had the same problem. We had to stay in Mesquite one of the times and St. George the other.
^ I remember hotel rooms near the Strip were significantly cheaper (and/or readily available) in 2007 and 2008 since there was less overlap with CES during those years. Prior to 2006, hotel rooms near Vegas were completely sold out (or ludicrously expensive for what you get). Several new hotels have been built in the last five years around the Strip, although these are primarily targeted at the upper-end of the market (e.g. Wynn/Encore, City Center). The same can't be said for San Diego during Comic-Con, where rooms are practically sold out the day they become available.
^So at least there is a place to stay, and it isn't too bad these days. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the great pictures and reports from AVN. However I am suprised as I am not able to find any picture of Aletta Ocean (also in AVN s,te) who wins Foreign Performer Of The Year Award. Was she not there ? Do you have any news? Anime, otherwise I am sure you will not miss this kind of beauty.[:P)]
You'll see more of me soon. Lots of touring in 2010 to cum ;p. I wouldn't hugely under-rated, just a little shy ;)

Anime, great work on the AEE pics, you always do a great job in posting them and I do appreciate the long hours you put into posting them here. They are right about Lexi, unlike last year where I didn't talk to her very long, this year I got to talk to her longer. She is w/out a doubt the nicest and sweetest young lady and man is she ever cute (she gives great hugs too). After 1 year of promising her, I finally gave her the pics of me and her from last year's AVNs plus some snickers which made her smile. In a way, she wasn't as crowded (people wise) as where she was located last year but it made it even better talking to her as long as we did. I felt bad for her, she lost her most of her voice as AVN winded down so I didn't want her talking too much when we spoke last to prevent her from straining her voice anymore than it was. I felt bad I couldnt go to the party she was hosting/promoting she metioned to me but she did mention she was crzy-busy that night so talking to her then 1 on 1 would've been difficult at best. And yes, I saw her cute ass up close in person, I nearly passed out from happiness ;). BTW Lexi, once I get my pics of us from AVNs, you're getting a copy (may take me a year again but youre getting them); always a pleasure talking to you thn Lexi.
Somewhat OT, but I figured I'd mention it here. Apparently, 2000 guys have placed pre-orders for these things at $7000 a pop...if you believe what they are saying. cnn article
