So Charlie Sheen was caught with a starlet....big deal, tell me something I don't know.
But I hardly think that Miss Alexis Capri (aka Capri Anderson aka Stella Costanza) is a "porn star" despite the fact that the media keeps
wanting to call her that. She was basically a nude model.
The term "porn star" should be reserved for the truly great "stars". I am thinking Nina Hartley, Bobbi Starr, Kristina Rose, etc.
Calling Miss Capri a "porn star" is an insult to those who deserve that moniker.
I say you cannot call yourself a porn star, it has to be given to you and at least been in the business for 2 years and at least 50 films.
I don't know if this should be Star Tossed or World Nonsense.

"Pornstar" sounds more sensational than "nude model", so that's the word the tabloid media chooses to use. Makes me wonder, has any mainstream celebrity been with any bona fide pornstar? I heard that Pinky was with some hip hop artist, but I'm not sure if he counts as a mainstream celebrity.

People that are in porn and know porn might call a newbie or nude model a "porn starlet" but outsiders of porn almost always assume that a girl that works in the nude/sex industry at all is a porn star. I think that even if a girl does one or two films can be called a porn star, just my opinion.

^Yeah but in the few stories I've seen they never even hint at any porn titles this girl appeared in. I would expect at least a quickie fleeting camara scan across a porn boxcover with her on it, or something like that, when they talk about her on those TMZ-type shows.

That's just crazy talk. I say having sex in front of a camera and having that footage released pretty much makes you a star. Or maybe doing that twice. Surely 5 movies in, you can be a star. If not then, maybe after 10 scenes.

every girl working in the porn indurstry is a PORN STAR, every random model a TOP/-SUPER MODEL, every TV-actress a TV-STAR.

Well technically she IS a porn star. I have a hardcore b/g scene of hers on dvd to prove it. (She's done other b/g scenes as well.) She's also done explicit solo toy/masturbation scenes of which I also own two of her dvds from playtime. So she's been active in the industry albeit her work has not been prolific.

To further prove my point, a new North Pole movie is coming out. It features Capri Anderson doing another boy/girl scene. It looks like a rather recent shoot too. :)
