Am I the only one who doesn't care for porn stars?

I'm just here to watch the video and see the action. I could name you maybe 10 girls who are not "famous" in the industry, not because I prefer them, but because they've reappeared several times in films I've watched. Really I could care less about putting a name to their face. Sure I like the girl to be cute or hot at least and most of them are to me, I'm not very picky, so there's no one type or one girl that I have to see. Really they're just as replaceable to me as the guys in each scene. In fact, I'd say there are actually more male performers I prefer to see because of the good job they do with the female talent. There was a time when I would purchase a movie basing my decision solely on box art. Now it isn't so simple and I find myself researching, previewing trailers and reading reviews. I guess if this isn't the case, good for you. You aren't encumbered by specific stars, types of women, genres/niches, studios, directors, male talent, etc., when purchasing a movie or signing up for a site. The most important factor for me probably is the women. Aside being physically attracted to specific mainstream and not-so-mainstream stars, I have come to expect certain things from their scenes. Something beyond the fact that they are attractive women performing for our viewing pleasure. Specific passions, sexual energy, attitudes, and personalities, for example. So, if that's the case, they are free to select porn based on the quality of the sex action. And the biggest factor to ensure good-quality sex action, is to select certain male performers who you know to be consistent and non-annoying, or whose style/personality is agreeable to you. Now there are a wide-variety of women I can just watch and probably would if the direction was more consistent film-to-film. It usually isn't, so I usually go with performers that I find to usually give good performances, or who simply really really turn-me-on regardless. I will sometimes go with someone new or who is unfamiliar, but I always try to find them in a film with someone I know will give a good performance. If I can't find anything, usually because the performer is too new, I might give her a shot if she's really hot looking or has good industry buzz. It's not something I like doing often though. [Link]

I also agree with the posters here that replied...certain things are turn-offs...bitchy attitudes, implants, over-saturation of tattoos, etc. And objectively speaking I'd rather watch a girl that I would like as a person versus someone who is faking it but hot. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of hot bodies and beautiful faces, but given there's so much of that in porn, I look for what they exude on (and possibly off) camera). I'm a weirdo that likes girls with a great smile and tend to laugh, yet can lose themselves in the scene from pure enjoyment. (Smiles are a big plus...genuine pretty smiles are fantastic). I can sit around watching bad porn with performers who are just bored and barely paid enough to show up all day long every day. None of that stuff is even going to get me excited. And to be honest, I think my idea of who's attractive departs pretty significantly from what seems to be the mainstream. I honestly can't remember the last time I jerked off to a woman I knew for a fact had implants. If I suspect she has implants or cosmetic surgery, that pretty much ruins it for me. When I find a girl who turns me on, I have to take note of her name and look for other stuff with her in it because this is a rare occasion. I need to see women who have some obvious personality. I don't care how much I like the girl, if I think she's going to be working with a guy who never gets hard, I'm not watching it. More than likely, if the box gives no indication who the girl(s) I'm getting the movie for will be working with, I WILL go digging for the names before I'll spend money on it. Way back when, I started basically automatically renting Rocco movies because I knew he was a solid performer who would rarely disappoint (assuming the girls were hot). This was (IMO) what made Rocco a porn superstar. Sure. He's famous for other things but the man was consistent. He was easy on the eyes (if you cared about that at all) and you could imagine beautiful women being attracted to and seduced by him. To me, this does matter.
