Anal is one, but just one, of the most popular genres in porn. You get the impression from ADT that the fans are a little more vocal than others but that doesn't necessarily equate to it being only 5% that don't like it. Personally I don't like to watch anything thick penetrating an ass but I absolutely love anal worship in its other forms. Maybe this is partly because in my world a tight butthole is way sexier to look at than a loose one.

I don't know how you can substantiate this.I know many women who use anal as birth control and to save their virginity.Of the last 15 women I've dated all but one loved anal.
Did you actually read the report? Imagine 44% of the 75% of men who were probably eating dinner at home when they got a creepy robocall wanting to know if they'd ever fucked a woman in the ass. Dude, I used to fuck EVERYBODY in the ass, and I don't think I would have "pressed 1 for yes". Given that men, even with that ridiculous methodology, were at 44%, I am going to use that source as proof that most men have indeed engaged in anal sex. So thanks for that.

Did you bother to read it? You think the CDC does their studies via robocalls? And you think men are underreporting anal sex? Consistently the issue in self-reported sex studies is that men bullshit about their sexual histories, claiming activity and numbers of partners that are exagerated. I wonder if those who think anal sex is disgusting look at a woman´s pussy or ass first when they meet them in public.....Why not involve the most attractive part into your sex adventure - doesn´t really make sense to me.
Public opinion research is done in that manner so often that I assumed it was, when I read that it was computer assisted. My bad. But I don't know why you think that they idea gets an emoticon; That's like not believing that a bank would outsource its customer service to India. In any case, I believe that the set of men that do but say they don't has a higher cardinality than the set of men that don't but say they do. Your argument is that men would bullshit about something that is "gross" and in the "minority", but you have to choose which way your argument will work, and not try to have it both ways. So, yes, I think the implied pressure on that 44% figure is upwards.
What exactly is the point of lying? Because their girlfriend is next to them? If that is the case then they aren't having anal sex. If so many people are then there would need to be no reason to lie. I don't know why people have so much problems accepting that certain things are done by less than half of the population.

I don't think the majority of those who don't have anal sex think it is gross, they either have no interest or their partner has no interest. People often like an idea in terms of fantasy but not reality and have no intention of acting out something they may fantasize about.

The study by the CDC was performed in 2006-2008 on 13,000+ people aged 25-44 and published in 2011 by computer with a 75% response rate. There was not much info on what race and where these people live in the USA.There is a + or - of 2 to 7+%.yes it states 44%males and 36% females have had anal .http://www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/advice/a11790/anal-sex-popularity/.In this article it states that in 1992 33% of women have had anal compared to 46% in 2010 a increace of 13%. If we are to believe that anal involvement hasn't decreased add 10% to the 2010 numbers and you get 56%. I realize these are chinese numbers,I'm saying it's more than half of the population are doin it.A lot more
Around ten years ago a similar study was made in many countries in Europe , each member did it on its own with different agencies, some used statistics agency, som sexual departments, some healthcare departments, each study gave grossly the same result , basically at least 40% of those had anal sex and half of them enjoyed it and do on regular basis (regular as in often not always) that meant 20% of the female population that was interviewed does anal as a regular sexual activity along with oral and vaginal sex this doesn't seem very much different from that in the USA. also I suspect that some of those who never did actually were never asked for

Remember those numbers in the CDC report is that they had had anal sex, not that they had it regularly. Maybe that is buried somewhere in the report. I would suspect those numbers would be similar to what LCF mentions in Europe.
