Does anyone remember the great early gangbang girl series?
Trixie, cum eating, happy serious porn that pushes the envelope.
What happened to them?
Rarely is there a new flick.
Everything is a sorry sequel to what was done before.

Chico Wang is a porn moron, whithout a clue. Truly clueless.
No Cum Swallowing Allowed -has to be the worst concept ever in adult films. It truly takes an idiot to put that one out, after all that that company did to break new ground.
Duh, we never see no cum swallowing in in Porn? Gimme a break. Private and company can't seem to do any cumshot that does not drop half a foot away from the models face, and they have been doing that shot for nearly half a century now.

The best porn that Khan Tusion ever did was his interview with ROG. Never an acutal follow up.

Ah well I can rant on and on, my best advice is to avoid them.

Wow, you are AMAZING. Thanks for such GREAT contributions to this forum. Hey, have you ever done porn reviews? You should. You have some talent there.

What is a "porn moron" anyway? Is that someone who is pissed off because they spent their $5 allowance on a rental of "No Swallowing Allowed" only to realize it didn't have swallowing? It does help to read titles before you buy them you know..

Isn't it amazing that based on the titles, people still can't figure out what a movie title will contain?

Well, at least you have your opinion. I highly doubt anyone else out there will agree with you. Anabolic makes good stuff, but they're not quite my favorite as they were back when Down the Hatch 1-3 came out.

At the time I had never imagined a new company coming out that could top them. But someone did. I won't go there though. I was thinking the Jules Jordan stuff was the best, but now I think anything by him is tied with certain Platinum-X titles.

Ha ha. Thanks for the kudos, I think. I have done a short review or two here.

Yeah, I can read the title, and for sure there are different strokes for different folks, which is OK in my opinion.

There are people that are in the biz simply for the bucks, and follow others. In a kind of way they are prudes, never putting their own erotic imagination into it because it may reveal something of themselves, or perhaps, like Chico, they dont have any real ideas to begin with. It takes a certain courage to do real porn, and it is not a formula that can be copied. Not at all.

Brandon has it, Jules Jordan has it, Ken Thompson has it.
A few Japanese makers do it too. It is not about any act or shot, it is about what is erotic to someone who will go to the wall to show it to us. It may fail, but if it is there it will show though.

My point was that once something does happen, like the early gangbang series it mostly becomes a matter of rote imitation by people who can imitate but can not equal, and the creative get pushed out.

Down the Hatch 13?

Not quite sure what part of it failed to meet your expectations, but watching as much porn as I do these days, it takes a good measure of bone jarring, energetic filth, just to register as a blip on my radar.
DTH 13 did that, and then some, for over 3 hours, much IMO due to Chico's credit.

Sorry, I meant to say Down the Hatch #1 to #3. Those were my favorites. I've seen a few past that were just OK or somewhat good. I don't remember being very impressed by any new Anabolic titles until "Balls Deep #1" came out. Then I was hooked on their stuff once again. I probably watched that movie a dozen times. One scene in particular.

Yes Skroner, the moral majority has nothing to fear from porn with Chico and PRIVATE in the loop. It will burn itself out, well before the rapture happens, and contribute to a serious drop in the gross domestic product which will require charity and non domestic partner brotherly love to support the unemployed in LA and Florida.

I too enjoyed the earlier one's, and remember them as being especially heavily loaded er, heavily loaded with loads that is, and recall #5 as especially well cast.

The need to start putting out some more Gang Bang Girls. There have been tons of girls who could have recorded in their finest moment; but have come and gone and now are lost for posterity. It's a travesty.

I was never really an Anabolic fan and thought they were pretty overrated. I only liked the stuff from Jean Yves Lecastel. His movies were great!

I also still think it's unforgivable the way they removed the DAP action from Ariana's scene in her GBG scene.

i am loyal to anabolic but gbg31 seemed to be the last one with hot guys in it.

the thrill of the the gbg series is seeing HOT GORGEOUS PEOPLE in everyday situations gettin ASS NASTY.

if the people are skanky from the get-go, the fantasy doesnt work.

I suppose I'm being too sensitive, but I think we can discuss our disappointments without calling people idiots and morons.

Can't we?

It's obvious the classic Anaoblic/Diabolic days are over, they've got new people and they have their job to do.

Frankly I haven't been too impressed with what's come out of the new guard over there.Even with no frills gonzo there is obviously differences between great and by-the-numbers.I never cared for John Strong's stuff,to that point.

Let's be honest, this stuff(straight gonzo)isn't THAT hard to do.But I too can look at some scenes and think"this guy has NO idea!"Ed Powers, despite all his years in the biz, comes to mind.

They are trying different things, but it seems to be more raw and stripped down,it lacks some of the polish of earlier titles. And so there is I presume,no more Nasty Nymphos,Initiations, etc?

This is true of alot of companies and their titles:Little White Chicks went downhill, and I guess Jake Steed productions morphed into TT Boy and his cookie cutter formula.

Honestly,what can ya do?Move on.Buy/rent something else.

It's nice that we have a forum where some directors will at least listen to our suggestions. But ultimately they are going to do what they want.Ed Powers still sells, why should he try any harder?

Mango,

I just wanted to give you some support. Disliking Chico & his films is a lonely place to be. When you get to the name recognition that he has when anybody questions him his "fans" come after the person(in true Chico style) calling you all kinds of BS. Just know Mango that you are not alone. Enough about Chico....

I think your real point was about Anabolic. I also am very saddened by the direction Anabolic went in recent years. A lot of us remember the golden days of Anabolic when they were top dogs. Back when Marc Davis, Sean Michaels, Vince Voyeur, Mr. Marcus, Erik Everhard, Lexington Steele, & Jon Dough were all working for them. I don't know the story and the behind the scenes politics, but most of the talent went to RLD/PXP. I think Anabolic could make their way back up, but they have to make some MAJOR changes. Of course letting go of Chico and the other element like him would help a lot. Dropping the prices of their classic titles would help too. Very few Porn fans are going to buy an Anabolic DVD from 1998 for $20 when they can get an Evil Angel brand new release for the same price. I think those 2 MAJOR changes would get them going back in the right direction.

I hope nobody at Anabolic sees this as disrespect. I see them as a once great company that could be great again.

I have no idea why many of the original directors left Anabolic and Diabolic. I think it is fair to say that they really fell behind the industry with generally primitive DVD's, a infrequently maintained web site, sproadic release dates, and pricing that was not as aggressive as some newer players like Red Light. As a big fan of Anabolic I am sorry to see what has happened the last several years.

In the end, the same people are making movies somewhere else. I have no great insights as to what happened at Anabolic but there are certainly a number of shortcomings that people could use to explain their recent turnover in directors and talent.

Actually, "classic" A/D titles can be found for $16 if you know where to look (hint: corner of 40th and 8th in Manhattan).

The whole "decline and fall of Western civilization at the maniacal hands of Chico Wang" topic, along with the "Anabolic sucked since Vince (Everhard, John, Lex, etc.) left" topic, are like reheated frozen pizza around here. If I look, I can find maybe 20 threads bashing A/D for some malfeasance or horrible crimes against porn fans.

Face it, the companies are still in business and still doing great business for a reason: It's one of the strongest brand names in porn, certainly in gonzo. And their product is actually better now than it has been since all those guys left the farm. No one, ever, is likely to improve on the period when they had all those talents working together as well as a remakable run of new girls (beginning with April and Adriana Sage, on through Aurora Snow and Shyla Stylez and Jenna Haze) -- though I think Mike John is beating everybody at the game at RLD right now.

If you don't like Chico's sense of humor, then don't watch his movies. I don't think they are always successful, but they crack me up -- and sometimes there's even a great scene that's totally arousing, partly becuse he lets the talent be themselves, and lets their personalities come out. If you're pissed off at his antics, you're just snapping at the bait.

Anybody check out Su? She's one of them female directors. Not that anyone's ever made a fuss about that. She's been directing movies for years, long before every starlet seemed to have a "directing" deal. Why haven't all your male feminists championed her efforts at breaking down the gender barriers behind-the-scenes in the macho adult industry? (Maybe because half the time you don't even know what you're talking about?)

Check out Gang Bang Auditions 13, and get back to me.

Hey, it's all choice -- capitlism, free enterprise. You decide. It's just funny how this debate never ends.

Ah , the old "it's been said before so it must be wrong " argument . I love it !

A bit of criticism and watch the excessive response from the Chico cheerleaders . It's classic stuff . Really , it is . To be honest though I don't think Wang's porn really deserves this much thought .

You seem cranky lateley,I think you need a vacation Lee!

There are a few Chico-fanatics out here,I don't laud his technique so much as who and what he shoots.I admit, all I expect out of some of these guys is a few choice angles, keep everything in focus, etc.

Now,you wanna talk about getting attacked, try dissing some Jules Jordan 'round these parts.

That may be the best point aired thus far. Sometimes when reading through boards, I think people are debating for the sake of debate...or because they can ...I tend to doubt any porn really deserves this much thought.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ANABOLIC:

I am getting sick and tired of people asking why Lex, Everhard, Mike John, etc left Anabolic.

Here is the answer to your questions: $$$ MONEY.

Anabolic has cut their budgets really low plus no ownership rights.

If you were Mike John would you work for minimum wage?
They found a couple of newbies and friends to shoot for them for minimum wage.

They believe their Anabolic logo will sell the same amount regardless of who the director is.

They believe their Anabolic logo will sell the same amount regardless of what the content is.

Leave them alone.

If you dont like it, buy something else.

I had this weird idea once that when Red Light District came out of nowhere it was started by some people from Anabolic or something. I had this idea somewhere that Vince Voyeur owned it or something. I don't know where I come up with this stuff.

BTW I don't believe I have seen a Chico Wang movie yet. I only recall the name because of his posts and his "interesting" links to his video of himself pissing in some woman's mouth (was that a porn star?!). Where does he find these woman? I wish I had a girlfriend that would let me do stuff like that. Err, not that I probably would want to.

For the record I still think Anabolic is #3 on my list still. Definitely much better than the Red Light District titles i've seen. I've been too dissapointed in so many Red Light District titles. But when I do see a good one from them they're some of my favorites.

I really go by directors these days. Brandon Iron impressed me with DOUBLE ANAL PLUGGED and then I started paying attention to his stuff. I'll also check out anything directed by Vince Voyeur usually. Very few of the films he's directed have been bad. Not the ones i've seen yet.

Anyone know what the difference is between anabolic and diabolic? My friend had this stupid idea that diabolic's stuff was "more hardcore"..uhmm, no.

Do you also notice that almost EVERYONE steals anabolics box cover layouts? Ok, they don't steal them, but just borrow them. I've even rented some titles only to realize when I got home they were not anabolic movies but looked exactly like them based on the box art.

I'm on vacation right now . Why do you think I'm so cranky ! Just visited my brother and everything he's got is either bigger , newer , or sexier than my stuff . I feel like a deflated balloon !
How's that cheerleader outfit fitting you ? was I specifically talking to one person ? What gave you that idea .

Gushing : good , bashing : bad ? If everyone just came on here to praise what they liked and ignored the crummy stuff it'd be a pretty dull old world , wouldn't you say . Yes I avoid WW flicks . Doesn't mean I shouldn't say why though .

IIRC,didn't Pat Collins do the same thing at Elegant Angel?Tom Byron,Van Damage and Rob all got shiny new cars.

All leased by Pat himself of course.

From the perspective of the company owner, sure, they are smart to keep the money and control. What would be the point unless you've got someone under contract. And the here today, gone tomorow........I'll stop now.I know nothing.

I don't care if you know Cris or whomever. The fact is,as a fan,it sucks when you come to rely on a product, and then one day,you can't rely on it anymore. It's all subjective, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still.....hurt.

As most of you know,I'm out of porn, I sold Red Light District to my Brother, I still enjoy reading the forums, and this happens to be one of my favorite forums, the truth about Vince, Everhard,Mike John, and Lexington is yes Money they came to my company that I started, not Vince or anyone from Anabolic, they all make much more money now owning there own product, and I'm very happy I was able to give these guys opportunity to own there own product, I feel I'm a very good salesman, probably one of the best at the time, but without good directors and good boxes you will not do well, and Vince was a big part of the sucess of Red Light District, as far as Anabolic cutting corners and lowering there budgets that is complete bullshit, these people at Anabolic still give big budgets and offer residuals to there directors, outside of owning your own product,Anabolic is still the best place to direct for, I have some close friends that direct there and there very happy,I hope my input was informing.

Hey Dion, sorry to stir the pot but would care to comment what Lexington Steele said about you in this interview?

http://www.rogreviews.com/interviews/lexington_steele_04.asp

(Roger)
About a year ago we did a long interview that never actually got published. Things changed so drastically for you that we decided to scrap it and wait for this one. At that time you were with Red Light, but you split soon after we talked. What is your take on that?

(Lexington Steele)
Around September 30th it was brought to my attention that an individual, a criminal rat-bastard, who shall remain nameless, was stealing my product. Once I found out about it, changes had to be made. Word came to me from a person I trusted. Once I was alerted to that, my partner, who is an attorney of multiple-practice, went over my account statements. After seven and a half hours it all dawned on us. I immediately left the company and prepared to do my own distribution. Leaving the titles with Red Light for distribution was a smart move for me. I was not ready to go into self-distribution. I knew that my movies would continue to sell. By allowing them to continue distributing my movies I knew that I would have a steady stream of income. This helped finance the foundation of my own distribution. Getting away from Red Light was a situation that was brought upon solely because I was being stolen from. This is not to say anything against David, the current owner. He is a great guy. There will be some points of contention coming, but I have repaid every dollar I ever borrowed from them. The amount of money stolen from me is in the quarters of millions of dollars. Everyone there is so cool and I know that it won't be cool after the shit hits the fan. I will say again that it was not David who did this. He was straight up with me from the beginning. It was another individual entirely.

You know I never read this interview lexington gave, all I will say is I never took nothing from lexington, I gave him a loan close to 200,000 to own his own product, we had a deal that he would perform for all the Red Light District Directors, lexington didn't keep his word, I didn't like his box covers, I didn't like the choice of girls he put in his movies, we had a formula at Red Light District that we would shoot new fresh girls and thats not what lexington was doing, not that his girls were bad, they just didn't fit into my formula,I believe in my heart Lexington never planned on staying at Red Light District from day one, he just wanted to use my money to launch his own company, I fired lexington Steele, told him to get his stuff and get out of my building, he can say what ever he wants about me, I will take the high road, I could say allot about this guy, but truefully I got to much to loose, I got some good things going on in my life, I truly wish Lexington the best, but he will find out real soon it isn't that easy to put out your own product, I walk tall and did alot of good for alot of people in this business.

For those who don't know, Dion went behind the line of duty to help other people in this industry. He gave them jobs and most a career. Dion was and still is the best sales person in the industry. In my opinion, Redlight is the # 1 gonzo company today because of one vision, Dion's. If I can get three wishes in 2005, one of them is that Dion will come back to the industry and come back strong!!!

Dion,

Thanks for your comment. I do understand that Anabolic does give their director a dollar per video if it get sold to a certain high quota number. But if what you say is true and Anabolic is a great place to shoot and the budgets are high, why did they pass up on proven directors (when they were free agents before their current new deals) like Jonni Darkko, Justin Slayer, Mr Pete, Van Styles, Skeeter Kerkove, etc.? INSTEAD they gave it to newbies or retreads who would be grateful to make $2,000-3,000 bucks a month.
Plus they signed contracts where the cant say shit about Anabolic or they would be sued. The truth hurts.
