Before the pill or the condom I assume people still wanted to plan pregnancies. If I had lived then I would probably have chosen the rear entrance for all the times I didn't want to have a child. Still I have never heard such a recommendation as an alternative to the pill even if it must be safer from a health perspective. Why could that be?

In middle east there are abundance of "anal only" single girls due to rituals of preserving virginity. Some girls even enjoy it more than vaginal due to intensity of orgams. I dated a yemani girl briefly who was almost turned off by vaginal sex. I had to let her go due to her anal addiction.
However its a recipe of mother of all infections and not fun execpt once in a while well prepared scenerio

check out her films, she only did anal supposedly saving vag for her private life, even rumored to be a "vaginal virgin".

I had a friend that did that. She wanted to avoid pregnancy and was a virgin so they only did anal. Personally I thank my lucky stars for the pill!
