Manuel has taken this series over to Red Light District,
his new home. Expect the same hi-energy hardcore product
from this young French director & performer!

Well that is Manue's title, just like Sean Michael's took his 'Ass licker's' Series over to PXP starting on #4, he took the 'Anal Expedition' title to Red Light with him and started on #3. And on that note, I can't wait to see it as I relly liked #1 and #2!

I would assume so as Jules & the rest of the
Evil Angel directors exclusively owned their
own products. It depends on ownership & what's
in the contract.

Not sure. Maybe more money or opportunities?

Maybe Manuel will answer this question for you.

I've always considered PXP to be the sister
company of RLD. Both produce equally astounding smut!

How does that work? Is each producer there own company and they pay the studio to sell their product for a set price or more like a 5-10% on sales? I get 3% at my job but i think we sell more pieces then any one video.

i think it works like this. jules, manuel, etc. have their own production studio where they produce their own line of videos. they dont sell their videos to the parent company (evil, rld, etc). instead their parent company or maybe a separate distribution company altogether are in charge of mass production of videos. for every unit the parent company sells, the production studio gets a certain percentage of sales after the parent company gets back the money they spent on duplications. with regards to exclusives and ownership, it depends on the company like syberscott said. i think extreme is one of the few companies that have direct ownership to every series they release.

Does the Parent company get a certain percentage of the sale after the production gets it's money back form the production?

yes. lets take jules jordan for example. what percentage jj gets from evil depends on his contract. my assumption is that evil takes in way more than 50% of the sales gross. jj wont see money come in until evil makes their money back from duplication. and thats not even it. after evil makes their money back, jj gets a chunk from each unit sold. but jj wont see any profits until he gets back what he spent on his videos. im guessing it takes a while before the flow of cash comes in off of one release. the general consumers of porn doesnt come from you and me. it is bought generally by video rental stores. thats why jj and many other studios have to produce alot of series because one video equates barely to marginal profits. this is my perspective on it. i can be wrong though.

50% of the sales gross?!? I won't expect JJ to go for that and wait till they get there duplication money back first? When JJ does all the work and puts up all the money they sit back on the phone and sell it, JJ gets skinner and the phone personal probably gets fat with all the hard work. Ok I have no Idea either but doesn't seem like a fare shake to me. On top of that he gets paid last and takes all the risk???

youre right. i think jj would get paid immediately after his videos are on the market, not last like a assumed, so that the money would be allocated for budget on his next video. what i meant to say is that while he and evil are getting their compensations from video sales, what they're actually getting back is money they put into it (paying the performers, duplications, exess). i say the profits are marginal because i speculate evil and other companies only sell 2,000-3,000 at most, bought in the majority by local video rental stores. you know what, the more i try to figure out how the payment system works, how much each party gets, etc, the more i realize i dont know too much about it. sorry if i cant give you a definite answer, i dont know exactly myself.

No big thing I just having fun wondering myself, I just can't see how most of these companies are pulling in a profit with only 2000-3000 pieces going out the door. We sell 10,000ths of thousands but or pieces are much smaller and the profit margins is smaller I would think. But I don't get to see hot girls all day long at my work :(
