Firstly, Angela, let me say congratulations regarding ANGELA: VOLUME TWO! It looks like an amazing release! From the trailer, all aspects: casting, production value, performances and marketing are outstanding. This leads me on to my second point. As a long time fan of yours, I only wish the best for you and your career; I'm sure this is how many of your true fans feel. In such an case, I think it makes complete sense for you to only shoot for yourself. In the past two years, you've gone from strength to strength in terms of performance and production. You only shoot in the best locations (no dirty black sofas against red walls in a studio), wearing high end costumes - Agent Provocateur et cetera, with the best talent. Very few studios do this on a consistent basis. You are up there with the best. And your achievements are a testament to that: XBIZ award for Adult Site of the Year, a DVD distribution deal with Girlfriends Films and your own Fleshlight. You have complete control of your brand and branding - which is first class might I add - and the results are undeniable. No one will take care of Angela White like Angela White. Thirdly, why is everyone always so concerned with what Angela's going to do next? In my opinion, she's just announced what could be a career defining release, and we should all be focussed on this. Angela clearly knows how to manage her brand and career trajectory, so I think we should all just sit back and enjoy. Unless I'm mistaken, while many of us are serious fans of adult entertainment and passionate about its quality, none of us are directors, producers or performers. Angela is all of these things, and successful. Mojo: this is by no means a personal attack on you, just my two cents, but some of your suggestions baffle me. Angela has four scenes on her site with Phoenix Marie and if you trawl through her Twitter feed, there were some images posted some time ago that suggest there is a fifth, unreleased scene. From a business perspective, it would be hard to justify more scenes with Phoenix. Sophie Dee is retired and a weak girl-girl performer, Krissy Lynn isn't even close to being in the same league as Angela, Penny Pax would not fit with the shooting aesthetic that Angela employs - think location, outfitting, music - and Angela has already shot two scenes (at least that have been released) with Jada Stevens. Angela has proven herself to have an excellent eye when it comes to choosing co-stars and I'm sure her upcoming match-ups will be awesome. Stargrek: you clearly love your porn and DPs and you obviously have a superb understanding of what makes a well-shot double-penetration scene from a viewer's point of view. The fact that Angela has quickly developed these skills on her own (your comments about DP "photo-mechanics", for example, coming mid-August, whereas the Gangbang that you commented positively on has to have been shot before the end of July as that's when Erik Everhard left for Europe) is a testament to Angela as a growing director; obviously this, combined with the fact that her DVDs average 4.3 stars across the board on ADT, have all received "highly recommended" ratings from XCritic and consistently rank highly on AdultDVDEmpire in terms of sales. Angela, I wish you all the best with your current release and your upcoming projects. When all is said and done, your are one of the best performers in the business and are a genuine "star". I know next to nothing about the actual business of selling porn DVDs. Moreover, I'm sure your lawyers know both obscenity law and corporate law better than I do. Still, I need to ask: AGW Entertainment is incorporated in the Netherlands, right? While you're out of the country, can't a Dutch corporation hire you to sign some DVDs? While you're out of the country, can't a Dutch corporation hire you (or someone else) sell DVDs at a trade show? If not: Why did you incorporate in Holland instead of someplace with really lax corporate laws, like the Cayman Islands?
^^ She can't sell at Sexpo because Sexpo is in Australia. I'd imagine if she were to get some DVDs from Girlfriends if/when she goes to AEE, she's be able to sell/sign them there. And she can correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as signing DVDs, I think it's just that the company in Europe isn't set up for that. It seems like she'd have to sign them while out of Australia, then store them some place that isn't in Australia, then ship them from that place that she isn't at. That would be amazing! Unfortunately, my Euro source has informed me that she is under multiple contracts which stipulate that she can only do hardcore only for certain companies, solo for others, etc. I'm not sure when those contracts expire or if I will be in Europe after it happens but here's hoping!
It has nothing to do with my company being registered in Europe. It has to do with the country I am in at the time, which is currently Australia. The next Sexpo will be held in Melbourne, Victoria where it is legal for you to buy porn, but illegal for me to sell it to you. Therefore, I can *SIGN* DVDs but I cannot *SELL* DVDs. That is why if someone would like me to sign their DVD at Sexpo they need to bring me copies of DVDs they already own.^This is mostly correct. In a nutshell, I would have to of already signed the DVDs in the States and have them shipped from the States. It's a logistical nightmare while I'm living in Australia but has nothing to do with the fact that my company is Euro based.
I just didn't think there was much more I could say, because I've had all my suggestions shot down by other members. Don't worry though, I'll always be a BIG fan, whether I come back or not. Yes. Lucie Wilde scenes are completely horrible. Working with only select talent doesn't expand your horizons. I remember Angela's works with SCORE and never thought she would reach a level like this until she went out on her own.
