She told me her agent picked out Jillian Brookes for her but she wasn't completely satisfied. I told her it was a nice, unique name and, IMO, she should keep it. Besides, she's getting more and more work and she is getting known by that name. I went on to tell her how annoying it is when you look up someone and they have 10 names listed by them. She said she liked the girls that had first and last names by the same initials. About 15 hours after talking to her, the name change took place! [Link]

Click to expand Going by IAFD, Brooks/Brookes is a more common stage name than Janson/Jansen and all of the hits searching for "Janson" have it as part of an alternate name. There are a lot of hits for "Jensen", but that gets overwhelmed by the women who have used Brook(e) as a last name (not including all the girls with it as their first name). So, Jillian Janson is probably an improvement over Jillian Brookes if you want her to have a more unique name. I think it is also sounds less like an obvious stage name, so it has that going for it.
