If you create a Kickback profile today and ask us to apply credit for old orders not placed through the program your request will be denied. If you don't like the answer you get from ADT, writing to the retailer and pleading your case won't help a bit either.
Maybe some people don't understand how the Kickback program works. Here's the Reader's Digest version:
1) Place an order with a retailer through the program.
2) Retailer pays Adult DVD Talk a commission on the order. These commissions are not paid the instant an order is placed. Some retailers issue checks monthly others pay quarterly. This provides time for the retailer to process any product returns, cancellations and/or credits resulting from an order. Returns, credits and cancellations result in a proportional reduction in Kickback credit.
3) After we receive the commission check we issue credit to your account. You will typically see your orders credited to your Kickback account within 30 - 45 days.
Kickback credit comes directly from Adult DVD Talk. It is not issued by the retailer. A retailer cannot help you with questions about the status of your Kickback account.
It's a shame that I have to post this kind of stuff but recently we have had a few users attempting to abuse the system.
